Watching the athletes get their medals—and standing there together with the next generation—will stay with me for a long time.
This week, I’ve felt the joy in every moment—these athletes show the courage to step forward, the pride of being seen and the freedom to be celebrated for who they truly are. That is the human spirit. This is why we do this work.
