It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our father, Larry Fitzgerald Sr. A devoted father, husband, grandfather, and a true pioneer in the Minnesota broadcasting community, he spent his life pouring into the people and the city he loved so much.
He left us peacefully this afternoon, surrounded by his family and the people who loved him most.
We are so grateful for the incredible care and kindness shown by the team at the University of Minnesota Fairview Southdale Hospital during this time.
We ask that you keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate these first difficult days.
With love,
The Fitzgerald Family

EMOTIONAL interview with Larry Fitzgerald Sr
@FitzBeatSr. Larry didn't tell his dad the news leading up the announment, so he watched at #NFLHonors just like the rest of us. @12SportsAZ @ProfessorMFitz

Happy 17th birthday to my favorite firstborn! @jaylen_fitz2027
I don’t underestimate or over exaggerate when I tell you I am the luckiest father on planet earth having you as a son watching you grow up to be such a kind spirited, respectful, gifted & intelligent young man.
You will never comprehend how much you inspired me 17 years ago and brought my life such great renewed purpose. Continue to follow the path that God has placed you on and always keep your faith strong throughout all triumphs & tribulations.
I love you son, never settle for less than being your ABSOLUTE best!!

"My dad's legacy is awesome, and I love being a Fitzgerald. I just want to be known as Devin though. Right now, people know me as Larry Fitzgerald's son, but I want to be known on the field as Devin and make my own name for myself."
