Maybe they needed to be punched in the mouth the first game of the season. First time in 4 seasons they are playing to actually move up the standings.

When teams don’t have average perimeter defenders, the plan will be to take away the paint and leave below average-average three point shooters open. Keyonte, DP, and Brice could not guard any pnr. They legit wouldn’t get over the screen which cause unnecessary rotations.
Quick analysis of what I saw…
The defense is trash. Overreacting and giving the three point line up is one thing… having an unbalanced floor on offense with no one back to stop the break is another. I do think whatever system Hardy is trying to implement needs to have a short leash. Memphis didn’t look uncomfortable at all.
Trip has to stop fouling. It’s time for his game to mature or he isn’t worth being a 50M player.
Lauri hasn’t looked great thus far. Needs to grow the hair back out.
DP needs to shoot the open three. It’s disrupting possesions.
Ace… looked good. Just start him and let’s see if that group can figure things out.
