"Luckily the police seemed more than excited to step in and get as violent as needed to make sure he doesn't feel homesick" - Premier Minns
What is with the inverted commas? Are they being sarcastic?
Australia should be extremely concerned and moved to act, by this.
It appears to be some sort of miracle that mass injuries or worse didn’t occur.
Any attacks on Australian communities are egregious, and sadly First Nations have been subject of them for several hundred years.
If their lives had the same value as yours, we’d be having a national conversation about racism, the impacts of differing standards of political commitment and media interest.
Unfortunately, they don’t.
Clearly.

Imagine the son-in-law of the US President presenting a ‘vision and plan’ for a shiny city with resorts on the ruins of Auschwitz or Theresienstatd where dozens of my mother’s family and tens of thousands of others were slaughtered. And from which he will personally benefit. Repulsive, inhuman & rapacious doesn’t even begin to describe what they are proposing

I’m old enough to remember when 500,000 Aussies put their name to a Murdoch Royal Commission and no one from the msm flogged the then current PM to do it.
Just a reminder that the very people trying to convince us now are the ones who’ve done the most damage.

Let’s be clear, one chooses to be a lawyer and being a lawyer does not infer morals or ethics but what it can do is help you construct an argument to be immoral and unethical: to justify a position you want to take.
Speaking as an international lawyer, I utterly reject the notion that the existence and construction of Jewish communities, such as the ones where most of my children, my wife and I reside, violates international law. The right of the Jewish People to reside within the Land of Israel, including especially in Judea & Samaria, is sacrosanct and fully concordant with international law, history, morality and fundamental justice.

Now this is getting truly ridiculous. Bondi is NOT the spiritual home of Sydney Jews. This is crazy-beyond crazy. I guess the Indigenous don't get a look in, not to mention surfies...

It is crazy how the Bondi shooters were radicalized by the anti-genocide protests which took place from 2023 to 2025 and then invented a time machine and went back to 2019 to join ISIS.

If you believe that US-backed regime change in Venezuela will turn the country into a "beacon of liberty" you're historically illiterate.
First of all there's a long and well-documented history of US-led regime change in Latin America and the end result in the overwhelming majority of the cases is ruthless military dictatorships (Chile with Pinochet, Guatemala with Carlos Castillo Armas and later Efraín Ríos Montt, Brazil with 21 years of military rule under generals like Castelo Branco and Médici, Argentina with Jorge Rafael Videla's junta, Bolivia with Hugo Banzer's dictatorship, etc.) Which is the most liberticide type of regime on earth.
Secondly, the U.S. is pursuing regime change in Venezuela precisely to PREVENT liberty, and they aren't even hiding it.
Liberty in the context of a nation is, by definition, self-determination and control over one's own resources. Trump has explicitly stated he wants Venezuela's oil (see xitter.cf/MenchOsint/status/1995…) and the lady they want to install in lieu of Maduro has explicitly stated she'd give ownership of the country's oil to the U.S. (see xitter.cf/BenjaminNorton/status/…).
You cannot claim to be liberating a country while simultaneously planning to appropriate its strategic assets - that's the contrary of liberation, it's colonial plunder.
