Following the retirement of Professor Anthony Dorling, @KingsCollegeLon and @GSTTnhs are looking for an exceptional academic leader to shape transplant immunology & nephrology research at King’s and help reinvigorate the field in the UK
Delighted to share our latest review article in which we describe our interdisciplinary perspective towards better understanding of and research into the peripheral drivers of pain in rheumatoid arthritis rdcu.be/dTa4l
This work forms part of a wonderful collaborative effort between neuroscientists, pain biologists, rheumatologists and immunologists @denk_lab @arthritisbham @ZoeRutter2 @bannister_lab and others, funded by @NIHRresearch and @wellcometrust #pain #arthritis #TeamScience
Interested in joint inflammation & inflammatory arthritis? Then have a look at our recent paper doi.org/10.1002/art.42949 in which we show substantive similarities in the phenotype and TCR repertoires of synovial fluid and synovial tissue derived T cells!

Very happy to share our latest paper funded by our @VersusArthritis programme grant: Identification of a transcription factor network regulating anti-TNF mediated IL10 expression in human CD4+ T cells academic.oup.com/discovimmun…
This paper follows from our previous work which showed an increase in IL-10 expressing CD4+ T cells following anti-TNF therapy in vitro and in vivo. We used RNASeq and ATACseq to identify a putative transcriptional network consisting of MAF, PRDM1 and/or EOMES that may drive this
Big congratulations and thanks to the team @giopovo @M_L_Ridley et al. for your hard work and perseverance and thank you to @discovimmunol for publishing the work!
And here is the link to our other paper on pain in inflammatory arthritis - a wonderful collaboration with @ZoeRutter2, @bannister_lab, Bruce Kirkham and Heidi Lempp and most importantly, with individuals living with painful #arthritis: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…
One of two recent publications authored by our wonderful clinical fellow @ZoeRutter2 in collaboration with @bannister_lab and @denk_lab and others - working together towards a better understanding and treatment of pain in inflammatory #arthritis
