I was honored to meet with H.E. Duma Boko, President of the Republic of Botswana, in my capacity as the Chairman of the Diamonds for Development Fund. The Fund, which is independent, is working to support Botwana’s drive to diversify its economy, expand exports, industrialize and create jobs. Our mandate is clear: a catalytic investment platform for crowding in larger pools of domestic and international capital into businesses and strategic intervention areas that advance Botswana’s economic diversification, productivity, competitiveness, expansion of exports and creation of jobs. Speaking to Frontier Africa Report's Boason Omofaye, Tsheole reviewed the exchange's first-quarter activities, including the recent listing of NHC Foods' US$27 million foreign currency convertible bond, as Afrinex positions itself as a bridge between African and international capital markets.

The reforms also include relaxed free-float and shareholder spread requirements and will remain in place for three years.
