Today is my last day as Librarian at school, I have been here for over 20 years and this is a very emotional day! Thorpe has educated my 3 children and I have made many friends here, I will miss my wonderful colleagues and the students but am looking forward to a new challenge ♥️

Beautiful words from @malorieblackman on how reading fosters empathy and connection ✨ Our book, We've Got This!, is written by @RashmiWriting & illustrated by @JulianaEigner. It aims to help children build empathy skills that can fight division. Buy: geni.us/WeveGotThisBook

Happy #EmpathyDay everyone, reading books is a great way to develop empathy for characters, the emotions they are feeling and the circumstances they are in, this then carries through into real life interactions with people #readingiscaring #lovereading #readingforpleasure
