New Scientist Live (@newscievents) gave UKAEA a great opportunity to update the public on the latest developments in fusion energy. There was massive interest shown in fusion, robotics, and engineering, with our team being incredibly happy to help educate and informβ¦ π

For the first time in nearly 1οΈβ£0οΈβ£ years MASCOT and the Remote Handling booms are in place in the Torus Hall to enable this summer's in-vessel projects - analysing the absorption of tritium and other elements into first wall tiles, and removing tiles and components for further study - which represent the first stage of JET's Decommissioning and Repurposing programme.
