I've hung on for so long, but now I've reached the decision to delete my X profile. This place is just a pool of negativity & nastiness. Also people I follow, including people in the book/youtube community being pointlessly & unnecessarily cruel, nasty or condescending to others.
I'll keep this account open until end of day for those who wish to follow me on the other platforms, then I am gawwwn!
Why do I want to stay on a space where if you like something you are instantly labelled as someone who is stupid for liking that thing. I don't have time for people like that in my life, real or online. If you don't like something, fine. Don't put down others for doing so.
My current read is ALIEN CLAY by the great Adrian Tchaikovsky. 25% in and the man never fails to build incredible, weird and alien worlds with rich detail and atmosphere.
If you love grimdark, intrigue, amazing world building and some nasty pieces of work, and you HAVEN'T read this...
What the frak are you doing??? Get THE TRIALS OF ASHMOUNT people!

#Andor was a miracle, the single best argument that any of these major franchises have made for streaming and Disney’s greatest accomplishment of the streaming age.
The worst thing is knowing that they could have been making something this good for years, but chose not to.

Happy Birthday to the author who shaped my teenage years. Discworld has been with me for nearly 30 years and is my go to for when I feel down.
It fills my heart to see younger SFF fans discovering Pratchett and Discworld. Long may it continue.
Happy Birthday Terry. Born 28th April, 1948. Fitting then, that today is also #TerryPratchettDay.
“It reached the boat. Long clammy fingers grabbed the side, and a lugubrious face rose level with Nanny Ogg’s. ‘’ullo,’ it said. ‘It’sss my birthday.” — Witches Abroad
Also to mark the date, released today: Night Watch in paperback. Now available as part of the distinguished Penguin Modern Classics Collection

Still one of the greatest shots on film and not an iota of CGI or was used. So clever and not a gimmick as it enhances the scene emptionally and visually.
Had some much needed serenity and mental health space today. It's been a full on few weeks at work, so it was so important to have today amongst the trees and water. – at Lincoln, England
Hey friends, I haven't been active on here for a while. My BookTube channel is on hold & I am only reading a few ARCs that I have committed too, then I shan't be doing anymore this year. In October I begin my BA (Honours) degree English Literature & Creative Writing & I am ready!
Yeah, let people enjoy this adaption of Wheel of Time. Or for that matter Rings of Power.
I am both a WoT book fan and Tolkien obsessive and love both shows for what they are adaptions.
Just don't be a dick. It's as simple as that.

Again, it's been a joy seeing book fans really appreciate & love S3 of #TheWheelOfTime. I know a lot of book fans dismiss the show or hate it, but it's been so great to have other book fans, like myself, feeling so grateful for what has been a tremendous season of TV. #RenewWoT
S3 has been a revelation in how to finally click as an adaption. Every performance, every script, every episode has been a gargantuan step up from previous seasons. As a book fan, I have thoroughly enjoyed this turning of the wheel.
