It was an honour and privilege to hold an event in the Senedd in conjunction with @SyrianWelsh, led by the inspirational @DrAlhadjAli.
We welcomed the fall of the Assad dictatorship and looked to a brighter future that will hopefully be free of bloodshed and filled with peace.

This morning is different to Syrian people; today Syria is a country free from dictatorship. Nearly 14 years of sacrifice, sorrow and pain from all free Syrians to reach this bright morning today.

2nd day of the @Plaid_Cymru conference, and what a brilliant day!
@muslimdoccymru @SyrianWelsh and @plaidbme chair @Abyd56 joined me in an inspirational event. Then @hzomlot gave a powerful speech followed by the passing of a equally strong motion supporting Palestine.

Important event today at @Plaid_Cymru conference, hearing about the contribution of Muslims to Welsh civil society.
From community health hubs, to helping make public services accessible in multiple languages, there was much to learn from today.
