I strongly suggest joining the @SynodusPod Patreon, if only for this month’s patron only episode
It might be the shortest so far but packs quite a punch and gets right to the heart of the show
Our latest bonus episode is now available on the Patreon. In this episode we look at the Setagaya Family Murders, a brutal and strange killing from 2000 in Japan with a killer that left a dizzying array of clues that led to the largest police investigation in Japanese history
You can listen to this and our 22 other short bonus episodes by subscribing for $5 or more a month at the podcast Patreon

Just an FYI, but I've deleted the podcast instagram account. I hadn't kept it up in months and I just wasn't finding that to be an interesting way to promote the show.
Episode 15a "Leaving the Whole World Blind" is now up. In this new series we look at blood feuds, starting with an obscure story from the era of Anglo-Saxon England, and a series of killings between two family lines that took place over 60 years of political upheaval and warfare
You can support the show by subscribing to our Patreon, where for $5 a month or more you get access to short monthly bonus episodes. All subscribers also are invited to join monthly zoom meetings where we can discuss topics from the show.

Highly recommend @SynodusPod, a podcast that explores death and our culture surrounding it. Morbidly fascinating!
We're currently just $5 away from earning $300 a month on the podcast Patreon. Every little bit we get helps me move closer to making this show and similar projects a full time job.

The support I've gotten for this show has been wonderful and I have a lot more I want to do, both with this project and others. Anything anyone contributes helps me toward those goals. Thanks to everyone who has given toward this project so far.
Our latest bonus episode is now available on the Patreon, this one on kamikazes, the suicide pilots of the Japanese military during WWII. Bonus episodes are available to anyone who subscribes for $5 a month or more.

The names have been drawn from the hat and @mayalstandard is the winner of the raffle for the stack of books! Thank you to everyone who participated and for all your kind words and support for the podcast!

I think you should listen to the @SynodusPod podcast. It's about death generally, but with the sensationalism stripped away from sensationalized events, usually contextualized with a broader point. I find it calm, even, and meditative, i listen to it all the time, give it a shot

I don't, and will never do, advertising for or on this podcast. By my preference, this project grows by word of mouth and is supported by people who listen to it. That all said, I'm not above a little bribery to get some more people listening. So I'm doing a little raffle.
