ICYMI: “Mr. Speaker, I want to welcome the people back to the people’s house.”
@brotherjones_ stood and spoke minutes after re-entering the house after his unanimous appointment by @MetroNashville’s council.
Thank you so much! We love and appreciate you!

Grateful to make such an impactful album with some dope Brothers.
We fell short of our goal, but not short of representing ourselves and our community with good music.

Spoken Word is here to stay.
Thank you @ItsDavePaulson
Nashville’s @Rashadthapoet was among the spoken word artists who convinced the Grammys to give them their own category this year.
We talked about the endeavor and the excellent “The Other Side Too” album with @Swrap and The Varsity

Spotted @Rashadthapoet & @Swrap filming a music video on Buchanan today. It made me so happy. Because--through art--memory, places & stories are being preserved. A few years back, Rashad filmed RAIN on Buchanan.

On this day in 1961, 10 Freedom Riders traveled from Nashville to Birmingham.
Today we're remembering these civil rights activists.
The guests are activist Gloria McKissack and @StylishNegro, @destinyoshay and @Swrap, who were part of the @VersifyPodcast on the Freedom Riders.
