My family had a A LOT of difficulty over the Christmas break. So, me & the kiddos are just now getting around to making gingerbread cookies.
Thankfully, one of my dear friends is a nun & she celebrates Christmas until mid-January (Epiphany?). So, we’re still in the season!

This is one of MY WHYs for advocating for the Transportation plan. My neighbors often ask for bus passes. This particular neighbor left one MDHA property b/c of conflict to go to another & wants her child to stay at the original school. ALL of Nashville will benefit from this!!

Neighborhood Story: A few weeks ago, I was on a neighborhood walk with the kiddos. And I noticed a Black woman to talking to a developer-looking fellow & I said hello, but didn't break my stride.
She said hello and asked if we lived on the street. I nodded and kept walking...
She talked about how her family had lived in the neighborhood for generations. We talked about her mother, that lived into her 80s and how she stayed on the street when things were super tough. We talked about how she wants her family to ALWAYS have a place in North Nashville.
