Milly Alcock didn’t play the hopeful girl from the sky. She played the girl who watched her whole planet die and still put the cape on. That’s why the movie feels messy and she doesn’t.

You cannot tell me this isn't the best version of DC superheroes we have ever gotten.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN KARA SNAPS? We've seen Superman get angry before, but I don't think people realize how different that situation could be with Kara. Clark spent his entire life learning restraint. Kara grew up with a completely different experience. She's more impulsive, she's more emotionally driven, and she has a lot of anger underneath everything. So I'm genuinely curious… What happens when someone finally pushes Supergirl far enough that she stops holding back? Because I don't think that scene is going to look anything like a Superman fight.

I’m starting to think Supergirl might actually be the more interesting movie here, and I don’t think that’s just because it’s the newer project. Superman had the advantage of being the big introduction to this new DC universe, so naturally there was a lot more pressure on it to establish the world and the character. But Supergirl feels like it has the freedom to be a little messier. Kara isn’t Superman with a different costume. She has a completely different life, personality and relationship with what being a Kryptonian actually means. If the movie really leans into that instead of trying to make her “female Superman,” it could end up being a much more memorable character story. And honestly, I think people are underestimating how much Milly Alcock could bring to the role. The whole “Supergirl is just Superman’s side character” mentality is going to age badly if they get this right. I’m not saying Supergirl is automatically better, but if you had to choose based purely on which movie has the more interesting potential, which one are you taking?
Is it just me that feels that supergirl is bloody brilliant. Better than the new superman movie.?

Remember headcanon is meant to fill empty spaces in canon, it stops being headcanon if it directly contradicts canon

Supergirl works better when she's not trying to be Superman. She's angry. She's reckless. She's grieving. Clark wants to save everyone. Kara carries memories of a world he never knew. Give me Kara being Kara, not a female Superman.

Kara except it was in fact not her circus, but absolutely her monkey (she didn’t know either)
addicted to saying “not my circus, not my monkeys” to things that are absolutely both my circus and my monkeys
