🦊The steady drone of machinery, the rhythm of advancement. A triumphant mood fills the air! “I get what you’re saying,” Clara replies, glancing at her book. “Reading is my passion—it’s how I break away, mend myself, and discover optimism in tough times.”

Please recommend some research on school culture, clear expectations etc linked to student wellbeing and inclusivity. I’ve seen some recently but didn’t save it. @tombennett71 @teacherhead @C_Hendrick @adamboxer1 @MaryMyatt @PepsMccrea

As someone interested in educational research and science of learning, is the Marshall Memo (from Kim Marshall) a good place to look for summaries of research? @MrZachG @dylanwiliam @C_Hendrick @MegVertebrae @rastokke @P_A_Kirschner @nsachdeva2019 @teacherhead

The first post in the latest Marshall Memo is about ‘thinking classrooms’ and states the book and author as the research. I’ve read about this approach advocated as not bring the best way for novices to learn maths. So it’s not helpful having it promoted in Such a publication.

Can anyone point to research of the links between students moving around and learning, for secondary age. Having breaks to get up and walk around or stand up and stretch etc. . @C_Hendrick @MrZachG @PepsMccrea @P_A_Kirschner @rastokke

Kicked off our “HLTH” working group this week. Since not everyone has the book yet, we used Instructional Illusions as our starting point. We did: • Individual reading & reflection, Small-group discussions, Full-group share-out • Personal commitments to try 1 new idea

The best part? Seeing colleagues energised and openly sharing what works (and what doesn’t) in real classrooms. @C_Hendrick @P_A_Kirschner @DrJimHeal @MegVertebrae @kdawsonfletcher

With the accommodations that students get these days, I'd love to know how schools are managing this - who is responsible for modifying internal tests/exams to enlarge them, double space, coloured paper etc. Particularly for IB schools. @BeckyHall75 @InteractMaths #IBDP

I work at an i tensioned school. I’m looking for a diagnostic assessment or standardized test that can be used to determine our students specific strengths and weakness in years 7-11 in maths. @DrFrostMaths

In my school we don’t have national standardized tests that we use, so data is limited. For maths, can you recommend something suitable to use from grades 6-10 to gather data on key skills so we can better see where to improve. @MrZachG @rastokke @robertkaplinsky
