Thank you both. The world needs more folks like you.
See these two men? They are Marcus Harvey and Tre Jones from Marion, Indiana. They should be all over the news but they’re not. A few days ago they saw a house fully engulfed in flames with people still inside so they kicked in the front door and risked their own lives to save the occupants inside. None of the occupants would still be alive if it wasn’t for them. Neither one gave a second thought about anybody’s color, they just did what was right. These are the heroes that the media won’t show you.

Perfectly said. Thank you.
We are past the point of political disagreement. We are witnessing a catastrophic collision between unchecked narcissism and obvious neurological decay. It is the most dangerous intersection in American history: a man with the absolute power of the Presidency and the absolute cognitive failure of a person no longer tethered to reality.

Amen.
Ten years ago today. In just the last few days: Trump made a deal for the U.S. to buy Russian diesel, an economic lifeline for Putin; he and Elon Musk blamed each other for an order that slowed down Starlink satellite connectivity over Ukraine, hampering the country's defenses during a devastating Russian attack; and Trump waived sanctions on Russia that Congress, led by his late friend Lindsey Graham, had pushed for. Now, Putin has proposed a summit with Trump and Xi to decide Ukraine’s fate for them, bulldoze a century of international cooperation, and frame Russia as an equal to the U.S. and China. We’ll see if Putin’s puppet continues to dance on his strings.

Dear Republicans, The same liar who promised to end the Russia-Ukraine war promised you that Mexico would pay for the wall. He promised you lower gas and food prices, helping farmers, bringing back steel production and health care. He has LIED to your faces about all of it.

TOO CHEAP. But better than nothing let alone wasting food.
I recently heard a story that got me thinking about tipping culture. Someone placed a $120 takeout order and left a $7 tip. The cashier looked at the screen and asked, “Only $7?” Then the manager stepped in and said, “If you can afford $120 in food, you can afford a 20% tip.” The customer pointed out that tipping was optional. The manager allegedly responded that they had the right to refuse service. With other customers watching, the person cancelled the entire order, got their money back, and walked out. Now, let’s look at both sides. A $7 tip on $120 is about 5.8%. Some people will argue that it’s too low, even for takeout, because staff still spend time preparing, packaging, and organizing the order. Others will argue that a tip is voluntary, that takeout isn’t the same as full table service, and that customers shouldn’t be pressured into paying an extra $24 just to avoid public embarrassment. Personally, I think there’s a difference between hoping for a generous tip and confronting a customer over one. But here’s the real question: Was cancelling the entire order justified, or was $7 on a $120 takeout order genuinely too cheap?
