Now imagine Drake performed iceman at the superbowl, didn’t release two other albums at the same time, and dropped half a year after the beef.. And was trying to make corny tiktok sounds with an album..

In 2025, Kendrick Lamar had the No. 1 song in the country for 13 weeks. On top of "Not Like Us" reclaiming the top spot, giving him 14 total weeks at No. 1 in 2025. He headlined the most watched Super Bowl halftime show in history! He headlined the highest grossing hip-hop stadium tour in history! He delivered multiple standout features, including what many consider a top two verse of the year on chains & whips. And despite not releasing a new album in 2025, he still finished the year with the best-selling rap album (top 10 all genres) and the No. 1 rap song. So yes, Kendrick Lamar was the best male hip-hop artist of the year. Hold your tears... and tell your favorites to do better. Good morning!

Kendrick has done two superbowls, collabs with pop artists like Taylor and maroon 5, a pop album for the biggest movie of 2018, a beef with Drake, and still is about to fall under 70 million monthlys. Really not a convo you want to have.
Emmy🧃@Emm_y27Jun 7
Bro had to release 3 albums to attain this stats while Kendrick did this and even achieved more with just GNX

Kendrick could never keep more monthly listeners than Drake and here’s why: He has performed at TWO superbowls, the most exposure for an artist behind FIFA. He also did a collab Pop album for the biggest movie that year (2018) with SZA. He fails having more monthlys to this day.

Even after his second Super Bowl, he still couldn’t touch 90 mil daily streams, let alone Drake’s 93mil.
