I want to say this very nicely, but then you called us stupid.
This kind of Muslim man right here is one of those giving Muslim men a bad name.
This fool, alongside many others, thinks they can use the tenets of Islam to oppress and silence everyone. Always choosing the side of the deen that aligns with their bias, thinking the rest of us are fools like them.
The same husband that had no problem with his wife working while he schooled. The same man who agreed that his wife contributed to the household expenses and allegedly opened a clothing business for her back in Nigeria.
But suddenly, he found his gheera when he no longer needed her to earn.
Did Islam tell you to exercise your rights only when they favour you?
If Khadijah (RA) had not been a successful businesswoman with her own wealth, how would she have been able to support the Prophet (SAW), especially during his very difficult times?
Where is it specifically stated that a woman has no right to earn her own money in Islam? Yes, there are scholarly opinions on a husband's permission, but what happens when he denies her that permission for the purpose of control? Which, from the circumstances presented in this case, appears to be a genuine concern.
Where is it stated that a woman becomes your full property once you marry her? What about her own right to be heard, considered and treated as a human being whose opinions matter?
Y'all know all about a husband's rights over his wife but care very little about a wife's rights over her husband. Does she suddenly become less of a woman once she marries you?
You forget that she is a whole human being with dreams, aspirations, desires and responsibilities that existed long before she met you. Must she kill all of that just because Allah has given you certain responsibilities and authority over her as her husband?
Does marrying you absolve her of her responsibilities towards her parents, siblings and friends? If you can take care of her personal needs, can you also take care of her responsibilities towards these people without complaining?
What then happens to the family in the event of your demise, sickness or any of life's emergencies that nobody plans for?
What happened to leading with kindness, fairness and love?
Even Allah is Merciful to us, and His Prophet (SAW) led an exemplary life. Yet, some of you seem to have a very different interpretation of what leadership in a marriage should look like.
All that aside, let us even agree, for the sake of argument, that she is guilty of disobedience. Is there no prescribed process to follow when a marriage is no longer working? Since we are talking about Islamic rules, where does forgery fit into this? Does disobedience automatically absolve anyone of the consequences of forgery?
Are there no stipulated rules guiding divorce in Islam? And what about the children? Who should be responsible for them under the tenets of Islam?
Must we destroy each other because our marriage is no longer working? Must marriage always end messily?
I'm just very tired...
See ehn, many of you need an overhaul of your understanding of these things. You cannot keep cherry-picking the parts of the deen that favour you while conveniently ignoring the parts that demand responsibility, fairness, mercy and accountability from you.
This will be my last take on this issue. May Allah right all of our affairs. Amin

Who Killed Yahya Masussuka?
In Economics, we learnt that if you want to make a product expensive, ban it. In politics, if you want to make an activist relevant, arrest him. In ideology, if you want to create a martyr out of someone, kill him. In history, if you want to immortalise people, ideas or places, deny them.
That's what lead me to believe if Masussuka was killed by ideology to silence him, the intellectual history of the world suggests that's a terrible mistake. History books are over-populated by mediocre people who preached ridiculous ideas that suddenly become martyrs simply because they were killed. Why give him free promotion and permanent place in the memory of history?
Again, if Masussuka was killed by the grand chess-masters who experiment on society to alter the natural course of history by making him more relevant because that's the evil-genius thing to do, then the people celebrating his death have fallen into a trap that superior thinkers laid for them. Mainly, because its possible that Masussuka wasn't killed by ideology, but now nothing and no one can convince the popular opinion otherwise. To even suggest it will trigger mass denial. And that way his ideological adversaries would have to carry the burden of proof forever. And if you don't know, let me tell you that's a very foolish burden to carry!
Likewise the killers of Yahya Masussuka could be bandits who simply want an alternative perspective to exist in their violent domain, possibly because ideological-inclination would now begin to think Dutsin-ma isn't only plagued by greed-terror of banditry but also the violent extremism of ideological assassination. But no one would believe that as well. Although, whatever you believe serve them very well.
The killers could also be politicians who want public attention to move elsewhere for a long time and with massive intensity so they can gain breathing space to prepare for what is and what will be. But that would be a very ridiculous thing to conceive – exactly as they would've wanted.
Personally, as someone who disagree with his ideas, I wanted him to be judged by the slow and ruthless jury of time, not the bullets of cowardice that will plunge us into another perpetual blame-game. I wanted him to live long enough to see the inconsistencies of his interpretations and flaws of his errors, to get reformed by the sheer strength and inevitability of the truth he aimed to crack down, and gradually disappear into the pages of history — just like many of his likes — as a soundly, peacefully and happily lived public intellectual who experimented the instrument of dialogue and either won or lost. But that's no longer possible; either because of stupid people or because of people who want to take advantage of stupidity.
Finally, that's why I believe what killed Yahya Masussuka is his environment. An environment where every manner of evil has a ripe platform to become possible. Banditry is possible. Political assassination is possible. Ideological extremism is possible. Vendetta is possible. Everything bad is possible. And simply because those in-charge of the environment have, for many decades, operate on the belief that everything will self-navigate, self-sustain and self-correct; which is why they send ignoramuses to the parliament and government houses in the name of godfatherism, useless dimwits to sensitive agencies as recruits in the name of empowerment and federal character; to become the government, to create and implement policies that will produce worst people than them, consequently creating a more ripe environment where nobody is safe. Indeed, Yahya Masussuka was killed by the collective stupidity of the Nigerian society; smart people who aren't so smart. And if you don't fear that society, you're already killed, you just don't know it, yet.

The assassination of Mal Yahaya Masussuka should make every Muslim reflect. We remember when Sheikh Ja’afar Mahmoud Adam was killed, some celebrated. When Sheikh Albani of Zaria was assassinated, some celebrated. When Shia Muslims were gruesomely murdered including children of Sheikh Zakzaky in Zaria, some celebrated. or during the Maulud gathering in Tudun Biri, Kaduna, some again celebrated. Even when scholars like Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi and Abdulaziz Dutsen Tanshi died, some still celebrated. Why do we keep doing this? Because people let their interpretations turn into justification for hate, instead of restraint. Interpretation can differ, but dehumanizing cannot be the outcome. Disagreement is not a license to hate. The death of a Muslim from another sect is not victory for your ideology. We need to disagree without celebrating tragedy.

To all of you that want to make this into an aqeedah issue, taking away from the fact that a Shaykh was just assassinated, you people have no idea what is unfolding.
A video of JIBWIS parade was released today.
In the same breadth, this controversial Shaykh has been assassinated.
Tinubu had a failed campaign flag off in Kaduna where barely anyone showed up.
And you all want to start fighting about aqeedah?
Ni daku muna nan.
In ba a yi hankali ba, an Emir is the next target.
They are coming for all of us one by one.
Amma ku cigaba da fada akan aqeedah, instead of the fact that the man was deliberately assassinated in open field.
Terrorists gunned down Sheikh Yayaha Masussuka in Katsina this night. Masussuka is arguably the leading voice preaching religious moderation and tolerance in Northern Nigeria presently. His arch rivals are the JIBWIS and other salafists whom he has been at loggerheads with for differing with their creeds. The death of Masussuka is a great lost to all believers of peace, tolerance and religious moderation not only in Nigeria but also beyond. May his soul rest in peace. We urge the Nigerian Government in conjuction with the United nations to form an urgent committee of inquiry to unravel all those who are behind Masussuka's assassination. This is necessary!

btw, a senator earns more than the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, double a British MP, and way more than a fucking US Senator.
And before the Naira crash they engineered, a senator took home more in raw US dollars than the President of the United States himself!!
I really hate this NELFUND argument. And as usual those defending the government have concluded that one of the most lavish administrations in the world cannot afford to fund tertiary education.
UNESCO recommends that at least 15–20% of the federal budget be allocated to education. That is the barest minimum. But of course, this forward-thinking government of the people gives barely 5%, as there are presidential aircraft to be refurbished, SUV fleets to be upgraded, and villas to be renovated, so they cannot afford to invest in education, unfortunately. Instead, they pass the burden onto you by giving you loans.
No government that blows billions on frivolities should have the audacity to tell its citizens it cannot give education the barest minimum, yet even with the second highest number of out-of-school children in the world, they do. Because they know for a fact that a number of you have reached such levels of idiocy that you will clap when they spit in your face.
And scream for joy and praise them, in your poverty-induced myopia, for their "benevolence", calling it a "good initiative", and start drawing parallels to the US, UK, Canada, and Australia.
They enjoyed the same education for free, pulled the ladder up behind them, and now hand you a loan instead. And yet you praise them for your future debts, calling it "interest-free" and that you can pay back "only when you're comfortable."
Can you not see that you're mad?

Ansaru Claims Responsibility for the Killing of Malam Yahaya Masussuka
Ansaru, the Boko Haram faction affiliated to Al-Qaeda has claimed responsibility for the killing of Malam Yahaya Masussuka, accusing him of being an infidel.
The group confirmed its responsibility for the killing in an audio message released today. In the recording, Ansaru said it carried out the attack at around 8:30 p.m. The speaker stated that the attack took place on Tuesday, but this may have been a mistake, as the incident occurred on Monday.
Ansaru accused Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka of opposing Islam but did not specify any particular offence he had committed. However, it condemned Masussuka's stance of promoting dialogue between followers of different religions and peaceful coexistence and indicated that this is why they attacked him.
Ansaru broke away from Boko Haram in 2012 following disagreements with the leadership of Abubakar Shekau. Since then, the group has operated mainly in northwestern Nigeria, including Zamfara, Kaduna and Niger states.
It is not surprising that Ansaru has targeted Masussuka, given that Malam Masussuka was preparing to organise a major peace conference. This may have been one of the reasons he became a target, considering the group’s opposition to peace and peaceful coexistence among followers of different religions.

It began with the gruesome murders of Sheikh Ja'afar Mahmud Adam in Kano and Sheikh Umar Hamza Dan-Maishiyya in Sokoto, both in 2007.
Seven years later, in 2014, Sheikh Muhammad Auwal Albani Zaria was also assassinated in Kaduna.
Today, in 2026, in a similar vein, unknown gunmen killed Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka in Katsina.
This is a very dangerous development in Northern Nigeria. Do not rejoice at these killings. Your favourite cleric is not safe either. None of us is truly safe.
May there be peace in our fatherland, Nigeria. Amin. May Allah (SWT) forgive the shortcomings of our departed loved ones, amin.
Good night,
Muhsin

My own question is, did he rape her or not? Not whether she planned to use it whilst still trying to protecting him. He should answer that one first.
A man that can fly his family to Naij to cunningly abandon them there, doesn't strike me like someone with a moral compass to stop when his wife says "no."
Alima’s husband said he found on her phone, that she’s asking chatGPT how she can accuse him of rape and use that to get a visa but in a way he’ll not be sent into prison, and that Alima sent the response she got from chatGPT to someone.
He said he has evidence for this and that if he’s lying, Alima should deny it.
If this claim is true, then Alima has an explanation to make as well.

Lmfao they sprinkled abortion, "they are dropping her at home", "she is taking our daughter to where they are touching her", "she wanted me to hit her so she can have evidence" into the mix. The useless boys will guzzle it, meanwhile, he admitted to forging her signature.

Go and learn fiqh, you say no.
See the rubbish you're spewing on the TL.
There are instances in which abortion is permissible in Islam.
Especially when harm is involved.
Also in some madhhabs when it is done before the ruh is blown into the fetus.

Lost a child because diarrhoea and vomiting of 2 weeks was "just teeth" to the mother.
She had the audacity to carry that severely wasted and dehydrated child to "a church event ", and only rushed to the hospital when he started gasping.
She was still arguing that it was "just fever ".
I need a law passed that allows paediatricians to arrange boys for unruly parents. I'm not sure jail will cut it.

If these Abu kini kan and Mufti kini kan genuinely understand and seek to uphold the Sunnah of the noblest and kindest of mankind, Prophet Muhammad (SAW), they would be holding their brother accountable for his shitty behaviour rather than fronting for him and becoming his mouthpiece.
Allah SWT explicitly describes the Prophet’s exemplary character in Suratul Ahzab (33:21), while the Prophet himself stated in an authentic Hadith: “The best of you are those who are best to their wives, and I am the best of you to my wives.” But look at these idiots already taking sides and peddling nauseating narratives to justify his behaviour.
If you want to divorce your spouse in Islam, is this how you go about it? Must you be cruel and heartless about it? Does following the Deen suddenly become optional when it is time to treat your partner with kindness, dignity and respect?
It’s either you people go back to Madrasah and relearn the Deen or you shush your stinking mouth and leave the matters of the Deen to Islamic scholars. Having a full beard and wearing trousers above the ankles does not automatically mean you understand Islam, let alone that you are practising the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW). Islam is not just about outward appearances; it is also about character, justice, compassion and how you treat others, especially those closest to you.

Once you see anyone tweet like this just know it’s because they can’t call our men’s wrongdoing. They will never say this when it’s a Muslim woman that did something wrong.
