4) Nevertheless, it’s an exciting space to watch and I’ve been fortunate to meet with a lot of great early-stage teams (including @cosmonic, @dylibso, @fermyontech, @SuborbitalDev, @secondstateinc, etc) as well as large industry players like Intel itself

Just had a great conversation with @cohix from @SuborbitalDev. I really like the "Extension Engine" approach they are taking with WASM, cool stuff.

Check out @SuborbitalDev or @dylibso; they both have cool pluggable engines. I think the folks mentioned above just used the rust crate. Was as an app plugin is one of the three great use cases for Wasm - web and server side being the other 2.

In wasm we are all working together to land on the component model as our standard. When we get there, you can pick from opinionated SDK on the front side, and on the back side, still have composable components that are interchangeable across stacks. cue #ManofLaMancha

Lot's of great application frameworks & companies working to make adoption seamless - edge (@Cloudflare , @fastly), open source (@wasmCloud, e2Core, Spin, @realwasmedge), startups (@Cosmonic, @fermyontech, @SuborbitalDev). Where you start depends on your use case.

I get pretty excited about the new platforms like @flydotio and @fermyontech as well as @cosmonic and @SuborbitalDev. Building the original CloudFoundry with @nats_io at the core for command and control and telemetry, etc. was so simple though compared to all the HTTP stuff.

This is brilliant, thank you Shinya! #Rust #WebAssembly #Wasm #KubeCon #CloudNativeCon
For those Japanese whose native language is not English, I happened to write a blog yesterday about deploying Wasm applications using Spin and Fermyon. xitter.cf/yanashin18618/status/1… If interested, can check.

Wow ... Python computer vision running in a (client-side) online playground xitter.cf/whitphx/status/1583352…
Client-side real-time image processing! Write the app in #Python with @Streamlit + OpenCV, scikit-image, etc., Run it on the browser with #WebAssembly. ↓Try it out on stlite sharing! edit.share.stlite.net/?sampl… Everything works on the browser. No uploads!

Wasm GC advanced to phase 3 today at the in-person WebAssembly Community Group meeting in SF. All three browser engines have implementations underway and there are only a few small design questions left, so momentum looks good as we move toward standardizing the proposal.

Suborbital is one of the best and coolest products we use @UseAvenue. We get to avoid feature-creep and enable highly custom use cases by letting customers write code directly in our app. The future of SaaS is extensible.
"Suborbital gives us peace of mind in sales conversations." Take a look at how @UseAvenue is using SE2's #WebAssembly plugins to make their business intelligence platform more flexible by giving their users the power of code. blog.suborbital.dev/case-stu…
