ZETA GLOBAL $ZETA CEO DAVID STEINBERG SAYS ONLY PALANTIR $PLTR BEATS ZETA ON GROWTH AND NET RETENTION How he says Zeta stacks up against the AI infrastructure leaders About six months ago, Zeta started moving from marketing to what @dsteinberg10000 calls intelligent AI infrastructure. He told @StockMKTNewz he measures Zeta against the 7 or 8 companies in that group, including Palantir, Snowflake $SNOW and MongoDB $MDB. Here's where he says Zeta ranks: - Net retention rate of 120% last year, 2nd of 7, behind only Palantir - Rule of 67 last quarter (44% growth plus a 23% operating margin), 2nd only to Palantir - Free cash flow equal to 5% of market cap, 1st of 7 For context, software investors usually look for a Rule of 40 score or higher.

Our Morning Note has been paying dividends for the StoryTrading community. We've consistently highlighted the $269–$270 downside target on $IWM, positioning our members to hedge exposure and manage risk ahead of the move. $97K in YTD gains from $IWM hedges alone. Generating alpha matters. Protecting it matters just as much.

We’ve been calling this out. Hedge fund managers are pretty freaking stupid. We can understand if you are a retail deegen gambling with money you can replenish with income. But how can a hedge fund managing other people’s money EVER use leverage? It’s patently insane. You are supposed to beat the market because you have a superior stock picking strategy or superior trading strategy. Going on margin is a lazy short-cut for hedge funds which in reality have no edge at all. If you are a hedge fund using any leverage, just do yourself a favor and close up shop. You are not a professional.
ANOTHER AI HEDGE FUND BLOWUP? Rumours are circulating that VARA AI Fund, reportedly managing billions of dollars, has blown up. Nothing confirmed yet, but following the reported losses at Leopold Aschenbrenner’s Situational Awareness, it’s raising some serious questions about just how much leverage is hiding in the AI trade. And the craziest part? We’re reaching a point where your average retail trader might genuinely have better risk management than some hedge funds managing BILLIONS. Think about how fucking insane that is. Retail traders get lectured about position sizing, diversification, leverage, and protecting capital. Meanwhile, supposedly sophisticated institutions are building massively concentrated, leveraged portfolios that can implode the moment the market moves against them. Imagine managing billions, charging millions in fees, and having worse risk management than some guy trading from his bedroom. But there’s a much bigger issue here. When highly leveraged funds get margin-called, they don’t sell because their investment thesis suddenly changed. They sell because they HAVE TO. Fundamentals become irrelevant. Valuations become irrelevant. Liquidity becomes everything. And when everyone is crowded into the same AI infrastructure names like $NBIS, $CRWV, $VRT, $LITE, $COHR, $BE and others, one forced liquidation can trigger a chain reaction across the entire sector. That’s how perfectly healthy companies can get absolutely fucking demolished in a matter of days. And retail investors end up absorbing the damage from institutional risk-taking they had absolutely nothing to do with. If the VARA rumours turn out to be true, this could be another example of a broader deleveraging event rather than a fundamental collapse of the AI investment thesis. The AI revolution isn’t necessarily blowing up. The leverage used to bet on it might be. And perhaps the biggest irony of all? The retail traders everyone loves to call dumb money might actually be managing their risk better than the supposed professionals. Because sometimes the biggest risk in investing isn’t being wrong. It’s being absolutely right about the long-term thesis and still going bankrupt before it plays out.

Big crashes always happen from extreme fear and extreme oversold levels. Those who traded in 2001 and 2009 know this. The buy the dip crowd will eventually get wiped clean about once every 10 years.
We are suppose to buy here. I did my part today. Did you?

$QQQ puts paid off nicely today! 📉 Remember to scale out and lock in profits on the way down. Managing a winning trade is just as important as identifying the opportunity in the first place.

Bye-bye to the overleveraged AI theme traders. Even the strongest investment themes can experience violent corrections. This is why position sizing matters and why I avoid margin. Leverage turns manageable drawdowns into forced liquidations. Capital preservation comes first.
