SenesTech runs on two brands. ContraPest is the liquid rodent birth control, built mainly for livestock operations and professional pest management companies.
Evolve is the soft bait version, for consumers and the commercial B2B side. Same core idea, fertility control alongside existing methods, packaged for different customers.

From cat worship in ancient Egypt to rat birth control in New York City — 5,000 years of rodent control, in a thread. 🧵
The 1970s. IPM emerged as the rethink. Not anti-chemical — but a more systematic framework that used chemicals as one tool in a broader strategy. Ecologists, not just exterminators, started shaping the field.
2025. New York City launches rat birth control under Flaco's Law. Baltimore integrates fertility control into its official IPM strategy. The arc bends toward approaches that address population trajectory, not just individual removal. Full piece: buff.ly/1jw4EQH

Rodent bait tip: wax blocks are durable but not naturally palatable to rodents. Soft bait's fat-and-oil formula? Rodents choose it even when other food is available. For fertility control specifically, that difference is everything. buff.ly/9o2EfRd

🚨 Most people sweep rodent droppings. 🛑 That's the one thing you shouldn't do — dry sweeping aerosolizes viral particles. Spray first. Soak. Then wipe. Gloves. Ventilate. The full 5-step guide is here: buff.ly/ThOW0mq
Hantavirus is one of six diseases rats and mice carry in the US right now. Leptospirosis. Salmonella. Rat-bite fever. LCMV. Plague. Rat lungworm. The common thread: rodent proximity. Reduce the population, reduce the risk across all of them. → buff.ly/XyZuONZ
Hantavirus is trending. Here's the calm version:
✅Primarily spread through rodent droppings/urine ✅ Global risk assessed as LOW by WHO✅No human-to-human spread for most strains
What it does tell us: managing rodent populations isn't just about property damage.
