Proud to help lead these important conversations on protecting queer youth in our schools. And very glad to hear most candidates in DC are ready to fight for LGBTQ+ student wellbeing, inclusion, and safety.
All of our SBOE Candidate forums are up on YouTube! We were impressed by the candidates’ commitment to protecting LGBTQ+ youth in DC schools! Topics included mental health, sports, and civil rights violations in school. Watch now: youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…

Replying to @PepcoConnect
@PepcoConnect it’s past time for you to maintain your substation at 10th and L NW. The public space you have an obligation to manage is disgusting. I’m surprised with the exorbitant rate hikes on our neighbors that you’ve let your property fall into such disrepair.

I’m sharing because you’ve created a public health concern. Trash, illegal dumping, unmaintained landscaping, soil erosion, and rodent burrows. While neighbors are all doing their part to keep our neighborhood clean and healthy, you are bringing us down. @311DCgov @DCDPW

I met remarkable people during my campaign. Now that it’s over, I've started an interview series to turn the mic over to them. First: @StevenforDC, ANC commissioner and president of the 50-year-old @stonewalldems51. Let me know if you have any ideas on who I should spotlight! rinisampath.substack.com/p/l…

Excited to chat with Democrats from all over the country tomorrow about the ROAD to Housing Act and how we can build more housing in DC. This awesome resource from @NationalDMO is open for current local electeds and those running! Let’s build DC together! nationaldmo.org/trainingseri…

We are facing a real risk that the @DNC will be the only entity to actually nullify DC law during the Trump presidency. One thing this article doesn’t dig into—DC’s RCV rules for presidential primaries are fully compatible with DNC requirements. A short 🧵 washingtonian.com/2026/08/14…

Thank you @metroweekly! This program is more than getting a few Commissioners elected. It’s about building a pipeline that makes local office more accessible, centering community around their candidates, and growing a class of highly engaged leaders who will benefit DC for years.

Service as Commissioner isn’t always easy but it’s so fulfilling. Glad to lead in my ANC and as President of @stonewalldems51. I’ve trained hundreds of candidates across the country over 10 years and couldn’t find a “whole of candidate” program that supports, not just trains.
This is pretty cool: @stonewalldems51 has a very handy online guide and questionnaire on running for ANC in D.C. While the goal is to increase the number of LGBTQ+ commissioners, anyone can use this to get lots of handy info. queeringancs.org/

Too many programs are designed for vanity metrics, not impact. Getting signatures is easy but preparing neighbors to open themselves to the public, sacrifice time, and devote talent is an entirely different ballpark. We’re here to build power beyond a cycle and create a pipeline

Don’t want to run? You can still contribute to the pipeline with our relational features like nominating a neighbor or hosting a community event. We want this to remain centered in community and civic participation. Check it out: queeringancs.org/

The bench is here and now. ANCs are the most local form of government and critical for well functioning municipal services, fostering more viable candidates for elections, and achieving statehood for DC. While they come for our rights we organize and build to take their seats! 🌈
1/ Today I’m so proud of my friend @StevenforDC, president of @stonewalldems51, for launching Queering ANCs: queeringancs.org/ 🏳️‍🌈 DC needs a deeper bench of LGBTQIA+ leaders who can build the political representation our city deserves. Stevie saw this need and used his development chops to build something powerful. 💻

This sums up why Dems have been lost for so long as a party. Leaders on a hill not only dictating but holding candidates hostage with resources + money in attempts to force fealty to ideas that are popular with corporate/establishment Dems but not with a broad coalition of voters
I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination. Don’t use our resources. Don’t rely on our volunteers. Don’t use our infrastructure. Don’t ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign. Focus on building the party you actually support. Political parties aren’t perfect, but they’re built by millions of people who knock doors, make calls, organize meetings, and fight for the values they believe in. If you don’t believe in the party, then don’t ask its members to carry you across the finish line.

This isn’t any single individual’s party. It’s OUR party. Look at elections up and down the ballot all around the country, including for State Dem Committees. We are coming to clean house and we are winning. We won’t be dictated to or managed - we will listen to voters and lead!

NEW: Robert White says fellow council member Brooke Pinto called him shortly before 11 p.m. and conceded in the race for D.C. Delegate to Congress. With nearly two-thirds of the vote counted, he has more than 60 percent of the vote. Pinto has just over 20 percent.
