Historians will argue about where civilization peaked. The Renaissance? The moon landing? The invention of the internet?
Humanity peaked in 90's, inside a dimly lit Pizza Hut, red checkered tablecloths, and an all-you-can-eat buffet that felt like the gates of heaven swinging wide open.
Society has been in free fall ever since we stopped treating Pizza Hut like a five star dining experience.
Any ideas what's going on with GA4? Real-time data showed normal users 8/31 across all accounts, though now shows <10% of normal traffic. Today, real-time data is showing users, but 0 traffic recorded. #GoogleAnalytics #SEO
And now it's fixed...

Nostalgic memes spread misleading messages, like:
“Once, families could own a home & send their kids to college on one income.”
But the homes were smaller.
Most kids didn’t go to college.
The memes ignore facts.
We give them to you:
Bigger Homes, Better Cars, Longer Lives: The Truth About Today
Nostalgic memes are all over the internet, spreading false messages like this: “Once upon a time, a family could own a home, a car & send their kids to college, all on one income.” But it’s a myth.
I sometimes forget why I cut the cable, but then companies like @ZiplyFiber remind me w/an unannounced 67% price increase for 2g. Turns out they're not even providing 1g. I get why cable cos acted like they had a monopoly (they did), but cos like Ziply are darn easy to cancel.
Bravo to this professor (despite what the comments say). Someone, somewhere in these kids' educational journey needs to instill the discipline that employers desire.

Pricing strategy is one piece for some dealers, though many dealerships actually offer oil changes for less than the quick lube places.
The bigger opportunity is convenience. My last oil change at a Toyota dealership required an appointment & took (checks notes) 93 minutes.
Dealership service departments are losing customers to quick lube shops — and pricing strategy is largely to blame, according to new data from global research and consulting firm Ducker Carlisle.

If not for the price (free because of @Toyota Care), I would've gone to a quick lube place.

Similar thing happened to a buddy of mine during the GFC. I spoke to him after a few months without him finding a decent job, and he gave me the best advice I’d heard in a long time. He told me:
“When I get back on my feet, I will never put myself in a situation where I cannot work at McDonalds and make my nut.”
Solid advice!
If you’re not in this kind of situation today, I recommend you do everything you can to get there. I did, and it makes it pretty easy to sleep at night.
I absolutely fly @SouthwestAir less often because of this idiotic policy.
Southwest is the “healing” airline: Limp on; dance off.
Seriously @SouthwestAir? There are more than 25 pre-boarders on my LAS-AUS flight. Just because you get a C on your boarding group shouldn’t mean you can cut the line.

I took 4 @SouthwestAir flights over the past week. On time, decent service.
However, given their recent changes and 3 out of 4 flights not having working WiFi, I think it’s time for them to update their inflight napkins.
I really can't thank @Delta enough for this wonderful trip down memory lane today.
The WiFi is so slow that it takes me back 40 years. There I was, fresh out of the Marine Corps sitting in my studio apartment logging into @AOL with my Mac Plus.
Ahh... memories. #GoodTimes

I guess there was enough backlash in 2022 to make @Intuit rethink this idiotic decision.
Fast forward to today, and @turbotax announced they're indeed going to discontinue #itsdeductible 10/1/25.
Since I already switched my tax prep to @TaxAct, it won't be a huge pain, though it does give me additional motivation to switch from @QuickBooks to literally anything else. #EvilCompany
With @Intuit discontinuing @TurboTax #itsdeductible, they've made it easier for me to switch to a different tax prep software & to start exploring an alternative to @QuickBooks.
Tho few users, those using it to track & port scores of annual charitable deductions aren't happy.
