Tried @NavanEdge and it was worthless. Provided inaccurate prices, didn’t follow my stated preferences, couldn’t complete tasks, and overall was a big waste of time. Deleting.
Tobias, like all of us, may have had his flaws, but at least he understood what it meant to be a university trustee as opposed to a MAGA entertainer.
I’m happy @sagesteele is taking advantage of the free speech protected by the #ChicagoPrinciples at @IndianaUniv, where she is a trustee. I assume she will stand in robust defense of anyone who wishes similar pain and suffering on her friends on the political right.

An interesting, in-depth report on the cake affair in @The_IN_Citizen from the veteran journalist Marilyn Odendahl. I'm quoted. The reporter reached Houston and interviewed her. indianacitizen.org/bitter-af…
An adjunct professor engages in a stupid, juvenile social media stunt. Politicians predictably perform outrage. Can the adjunct be fired? I discuss with @WFIUWTIUNews. ipm.org/news/2026-07-21/iu-r…
2/2 The relevant First Amendment test is whether this stunt affects her competence to teach a narrow and specific subject (food & drug law) as a remote adjunct. It doesn't, and fake outrage from political blowhards shouldn't change that.
Replying to @2RawTooReal
@2RawTooReal and I made a special delivery of funeral food to Lindsey Graham's office.
1/2 This woman is an idiot & an example of the worst toxic "influencers." I would never want her as a colleague. But she teaches part-time at a public U that has adopted the #ChicagoPrinciples, and her expressive activity is likely protected against retaliation.

2/2 Unfortunately it’s little more than a narcissistic personal anthem by someone who checks all the mandatory niche boxes (pronouns “he/she/they” … of course), not a serious response to the larger political and cultural arguments made in the NYT piece. advocate.com/opinion/queer-n…
1/2 The NYT “gay not queer” essay, which got so much hysterical queer hate, was built on a serious argument about the political and cultural consequences of the queerification of LGBT identity. This essay, apparently, is the official queer response. advocate.com/opinion/queer-n…
Quoted by @The_IN_Citizen on some of Micah Beckwith's latest false statements about Constitutional law. The Citizen has done an admirable job attempting to keep up with and expose the overflowing sewage pipe of Beckwith's public statements. indianacitizen.org/controver…
"Practical originalism." "New conservative legal vision." What a joke. A WSJ journalist can dress it up however he wants, but Alito is a result-driven, right-wing partisan hack, nothing more. Always has been, always will be. wsj.com/us-news/law/samuel-a… via @WSJ
Randy Barnett, whom I once admired, has fully made the descent from provocateur to curmudgeonly asshole to Trump flack to unbalanced lunatic.

Two weeks after my @ouraring 1 year warranty expired, the thing has become worthless. Won’t sync, gives wildly inconsistent battery readings. Don’t buy this.
.@ishapiro spoke at my law school 2 yrs ago and wasn’t canceled. I went, listened, and concluded *he* has lived in echo chambers and has no ability to speak to anyone who isn’t predisposed to applaud sweeping overstatements and cherry-picked facts. open.substack.com/pub/ilyash…
Happy to see the faculty report I wrote quoted here, and happy to see the trustees emphasize the Chicago Principles "reaffirm the conditions that allow teaching, research and discovery to flourish.” news.iu.edu/live/news/49054-…
Quoted in this story about a law school that withdrew an offer to a new dean because a few legislators who don't understand academic freedom disagreed with stances she's taken as a scholar. arkansasonline.com/news/2026…
