The big difference between Ukrainians and Russians.
“We are not you” sums up the entire relationship between Ukrainians and Russians.
Russian soldiers keep showing us exactly what we must NEVER become no matter what. They represent the absolute worst of humanity and everything we must avoid becoming at all costs. Yet, we still value their lives.
Russian soldiers often kill Ukrainian soldiers on the spot rather than take them prisoner. They capture some, torture them, and eventually exchange them for their own soldiers. But once they decide they have enough prisoners to exchange, they simply kill the rest.
