One of the things that just baffles me as a fellow in NYC is the amount of scut work residents do in this city. Transporting patients, drawing labs/cultures, etc. Such unnecessary work that overburden residents and diminishes learning and actual doctoring.

CLS is now charging trainees to park on nights, wkends, holidays when responding to emergencies. Young Drs who work 80hrs/wk, make ~75-80k and are trying to make ends meet in an expensive city during a rough pandemic, now asked to pay to do their job. Do the right thing Joe & CLS

Strange and foreboding orange skies and a layer of falling ash greeted Bay Area residents as they woke on Wednesday, rubbing their eyes and wondering if they’d awoken on a different planet — and pondering just how long the daylight dimness would last. trib.al/zAhzrum

When White Coats 4 Black Lives started calling for police violence to be recognized as a public health issue 5 years ago, the mainstream academic and medical community did not want to listen.
Racism isn’t worse, we’re just more conscious of it as a collective. #MedTwitter

Congrats to my son, Dr. @StephenCYang. A virtual graduation @NYUDental in no way does him justice, but I am proud of him for persevering through these difficult times. Best of luck to Stephen as he begins medical school and residency training in Maxillofacial Surgery at @UCSF !
