You cannot be pro-Ukraine and support MAGA at the same time. MAGA is at its core, a movement to support Trump and Trump is directly aiding the Russians in killing Ukrainians and Trump is trying to bully Ukraine into handing over more of its territory and people to Putin.

There are pro-Ukraine voices in MAGA. But if you genuinely support Ukraine, you should be willing to hold Trump accountable rather than consistently shifting the blame onto everyone else. Claiming to stand with Ukraine while supporting him is mutually exclusive to me

Half a million Palestinians in Gaza could be cut off from food support provided by the UN’s World Food Programme.
The agency says it's being forced to make major cuts due to a lack of funding.
Two-thirds of Gaza’s population is already facing crisis levels of food insecurity or worse.

Is it too much to hope that Trump’s betrayal of Ukraine and his sucking up to a murderous dictator who despises all that is good about America will further damage him in the mid-terms rather than, as he hopes, help him? If it is the latter then we really have to wonder whether the problem with America goes a lot deeper than Trump, and will outlive him.

It’s clear that @PeteHegseth has blood on his hands
The Pentagon is delaying the delivery of Patriot missiles to Ukraine—missiles that have already been paid for by allies, reports *The Kyiv Independent*.
A shipment of missiles, fully funded by Ukraine’s allies (including through NATO mechanisms), is awaiting Hegseth’s signature; however, the Pentagon chief is deliberately blocking the process.
The Ukrainian leadership views this decision as another form of political pressure from Washington.

Donald Trump canceled his scheduled Oct. 16 deposition in his lawsuit against the BBC because of "matters of national importance."
The BBC alerts the judge that those matters were: a rally in Dalton, Ga. and a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago.

ALT The BBC submits this Notice to raise newly available information regarding the “matters of national importance” that Plaintiff claimed kept him from his scheduled deposition. As the BBC now knows, on October 16, Plaintiff attended and addressed a campaign rally in Dalton, Georgia, alongside Plaintiff’s favored candidates in Georgia’s upcoming U.S. Senate and gubernatorial elections. Plaintiff subsequently traveled to his resort club and residence at Mar-a-Lago for a Republican National Committee fundraising event.

All of Europe, UK including, needs to get off American technology underpinning our critical services asap.
We can be blackmailed & bullied by a rogue US until we actually run on core defence & telecomms that we have a stake in.
That is another reason why we should join the EU.

Watch this great investigation by @HardcashProd on @Nigel_Farage.
The Real Nigel Farage - my book - sets out NF's contempt for the proper care of public money and his serial failure to vet candidates.
Three of his UKIP MEPs went to prison, two for stealing expenses, one for taking bribes from a Russian spy.
Not bad apples.
But a poison tree.

For those old enough to remember the ITV documentary is nothing new
UKIP 2014
The same lack of discipline
The same lack of accountability
The same faces around the same Leader
A man who postures but is no Leader
An antagonist throughout his career
In it for the attention not the job
Second lowest attendance as an MEP
Mirroring that in Parliament
2024 issues that were nothing to do with him repeated in 2026
Racism, misogyny, sexism
2014 excuses, pub talk, banter, the Establishment are out to get me
Limited action or no action - people resign on personal grounds instead of being ejected from Reform
A major issue - many now sitting as Independents with the same attitudes, beliefs and social media histories
It's a far wider issue than the documentary content and many more will be exposed
The same FAILURE and that FAILURE is Farage

Nadine Dorries says we shouldn't be too hard on Reform for the extensive racism and misogyny that exists within Reform, because it also exists within the tory party
I don't think she's thought that defence through properly

So Nigel Farage will prosecute news outlets for reporting things his party actually said?
Who does that remind you of?

Trump’s billionaire allies control TikTok, X, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and YouTube.
They control the algorithms, what you see, and what gets suppressed — and they protect each other.

In any functioning democracy, this would be called massive corruption and he would have faced at least 2 years in jail.

@BBCNews @bbclaurak having to rely on ITV investigative journalism to criticise Reform. In February the BBC aired ‘Reform: Ready to Rule?’ presented by Kuenssberg.
She’s no journalist, just a mouthpiece for Gibb, McAndrew and CCHQ. #bbclaurak
