Health Canada has issued an interim letter allowing broader use of spray drones for crop protection. Markus Weber of CADA notes this provides timely flexibility for growers facing challenging field conditions. ow.ly/Js2r50Zbj1k #spraydrone #cropprotection #cdnag #agtech

A significant development for Canadian agriculture and drone application! CADA has received a Letter of No Objection from Health Canada PRD, creating a pathway for the interim urgent application of products that already include aerial application directions on their labels. For growers facing wet field conditions and narrowing herbicide application windows, this may provide an important alternative when ground equipment is not a practical option. This development does not remove regulatory requirements. Product labels, PPE requirements, buffer zones, provincial regulations, and Transport Canada certification requirements must still be followed. As a founding corporate member of CADA, Drone Spray Canada supports the association's commitment to helping the industry move forward quickly, safely, and responsibly. If you have questions about what this means for drone application in Canada, feel free to reach out to our team. We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available. Gotta remember to keep your machines clean, am I right? What kind of set up do you have to keep your big machines clean and shiny?

Drone research season is upon us once again. Drones will require carefully considered compromises in broad acre applications. The research helps frame the limits of practical operational settings and effective agronomic uses. Here's a new finding: sprayers101.com/swath-taper/

Our long-awaited best practices white sheet for pesticide application by drone. Detailed enough to be actionable, but not so overly prescriptive that it's obsolete in a week. Hopefully accessible to new applicators and to pros. sprayers101.com/drone_best_p…

Simple ideas are the best ones. When you look back from the cab to check your nozzles. They are numbered so you know which one to fix if you see a problem.

This sums up some of our experiences this past season. Excited to try some more things and integrate it into some of our week control programs for this year.
