Can’t help but wonder if student enrolment challenges are in any way related to the reputations of universities with hostile relations with their unions - the employees who actually teach the students. Parents have been been paying attention the last few years.
Some important background on the collective bargaining at York. I don't keep records on this sort of thing, but I would be surprised if York's $142 million deficit for 23-24 isn't the largest in Canadian history.

Frustrating to see local politicians and large orgs like @CHEO claiming to speak on behalf of the Jewish community in relation to the Pride statement when really they're only speaking to some Jews.

It has "possible asbestos disturbance."

In more unacceptable behaviour from @OttawaBylaw instead of issuing tickets for using a megaphone on the spot, theyre now doing late night visits, seemingly in an attempt to intimidate Palestine solidarity activists.

ALT Bylaw came to my back door at 10pm at night Monday, to issue me a $490 ticket for using a loud speaker at a Palestine Solidarity protest. The ticket was written at the protest where I was detained and provided ID and my information. However, they refused to issue me the ticket at the time. Instead saying they would "find me" at a later date. I am the second resident harassed in this way. Last Thursday, a activist received a home visit from bylaw for using a megaphone at a earlier protest. These tickets violate the charter, and I have joined up with others who revived them to fight them in court.
