NEAR has successfully completed its halving upgrade on mainnet.
This upgrade reduces the maximum annual inflation rate of NEAR Protocol from 5% to 2.5%, ushering in an era of more sustainable tokenomics and strengthening incentive alignment across the NEAR ecosystem.

Today was a resounding success for the Solana Blockchain and a vindication of the idea that you don't need a modular aproach to scale. Work done by @anza @jump_firedancer @triton_one @heliuslabs @phantom and all of the other infrastructure providers working to make Solana the #1 blockchain over the past 2 years paid off big time today.
if we are grading on a curve, Solana gets an A++. If we are grading in absolute terms, there are still things to work on, and we know what those are now so back to work.
Building a block chain to house global markets requires a committment to extraordinary quality of service, specifically on days when markets move the most. Of all the chains, layer 2s and exchanges impacted by today's volatility, Solana performed by far the best.

=> Austin Federa, co-founder of DoubleZero, gave an update on the mainnet Solana stake operating on 00, which was 8.5% as on Sunday.
=> @SpectrumStaking announced their adoption of 00 with a positive report, stating, "So far, latency to Singapore had the biggest positive gain: 180ms (DZ) vs 240ms (Internet)."
=> 00 announced what their engineers and @MalbecLabs_xyz engineers did, which was pushing DoubleZero’s network software into the mainnet-beta environment. This means "The countdown to a new internet has officially begun."
=> @SuperteamJapan announced that @muhnkee, a team member of 00, will be joining SuperTokyo as a speaker on August 24, 2025, at Dragon Gate, Shibuya, Tokyo. Jump Crypto, on the other hand, officially announced that they are now an official network contributor. "We’re proud to share that @jump_ is an engineering and network contributor to @doublezero: the first decentralized physical infrastructure layer purpose-built for high-performance blockchains and distributed systems, allowing high-throughput fiber access for all builders".
=> The recent update is that 9.11% of the mainnet Solana stake is operating on DoubleZero.
=> Late hours of Thursday, 14-08-2025, DoubleZero announced their new collaboration, "excited to welcome @galaxyhq as a network contributor and backer of DoubleZero". Galaxy added, "Bandwidth and latency are top priorities in blockchain scaling. We’re proud to support @doublezero, both as investors and infrastructure builders. A new bandwidth layer for decentralized networks is coming".
=> Jonathan Claudius, the founder of @asymmetric_re, said, "Happy to continue to support the innovation happening on DoubleZero. Stake to our DoubleZero validator and do your part to speed up Solana", in solidifying their Co-Branded validator on Solana with DoubleZero.
=> Austin Federa updated us at the early hours of today that "9.61% of mainnet Solana stake operating on DoubleZero".

solana is the best choice
other L1s are a compromise. solana is the most decentralized, most secure, credibly neutral chain that reliably never spikes in fees.
it's the most active smart contract chain. it has the majority of stablecoin and DeFi transactions.
instead of leaking 98% revenue to L2s it's hyper optimized atomic state machine can secure all activity on the L1, without layers of multisigs.
solana is the default for dapps with revenues. for these reasons,
solana is obvious
ethereum is the best choice
other L1s are a compromise.
the L1 is the most decentralized, most secure, credibly neutral & never goes down.
it's the largest smart contract chain. it has the majority of stablecoin and DeFi TVL.
L2s are customizable, purpose-built, ownable & brandable.
they’re cheaper to run, easier to build, highly optimized for end users.
they can be much faster, more private, more integrated.
ethereum is the default for companies & institutions, for these reasons.
tokenize on the L1, or launch your own L2.
