NYC Council Speaker says vandalizing a bank is a potential antisemitic hate crime.
I think that’s antisemitic, Julie.
The vandalism and destruction at the Capital One branch on 86th Street is deeply disturbing and unacceptable.
I have been in contact with the NYPD regarding this incident and have urged an immediate investigation, including whether this is a potential antisemitic hate crime.
There is no place for hate, intimidation or violence in New York City.

🚢 Persian Gulf Strait Authority:
"So far, 122 vessels have been added to the non-compliance list.
40 vessels have been struck.
19 vessels are currently in negotiations to prevent them from being added to the list or to be removed from it.
2 vessels have been removed from the list by fulfilling their obligations.
Approximately 30 vessels will be added to the list if they do not respond after receiving a warning.
🔸 The Persian Gulf Strait Authority will provide assistance for vessels to be removed from the list if they voluntarily address the violations.

So true, Russians understand the European catastrophe too well...
The protests in France, now escalating into full-blown riots, represent a total failure of Macron’s @EmmanuelMacron policies. The President of the Fifth Republic has been far more concerned with Zelensky and the "Anchorage funeral" than with the well-being of his own citizens.
Now France—the very epicenter of Borrell's "blooming garden"—is imposing curfews, and local authorities have been granted the right to ban public gatherings. French "democracy" is bursting at the seams—or rather, going up in flames of double standards in almost the most literal sense.
The political defeat of the incumbent president is an undeniable fact. Instead of safeguarding national interests, Macron has placed himself at the vanguard of the European "party of war" in support of the neo-Nazi Zelensky. French social benefits, cheap electricity, low gas and petrol prices, and even the country’s education system have all been thrown into the furnace of the Ukrainian conflict and the de facto confrontation with Russia. Now, this "fiery boomerang" has returned to the streets of Paris, threatening to burn everything to the ground.
Pitiful attempts to pin the unrest on "Moscow's hand" stem purely from panic, helplessness, and an inability to admit mistakes in both domestic and foreign policy. The harsh realities of the streets are effectively pushing Macron into a premature "lame duck" status, at the very least.

🇵🇱🇷🇺 Schrödinger's Russia: the Applebaum-Sikorski edition
Anne Applebaum, the Atlantic writer who has built an entire career on fearmongering about Russia, and her husband, Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski, are two of the most psychotic Russophobes in the Western establishment. Between them, they've spent over a decade insisting Moscow is the root of every European problem.
Today, reacting to a Wall Street Journal report on a possible summit between Putin, Trump and Xi, Applebaum wrote that Russia has GDP per capita lower than Poland and hasn't been able to take Donbass since 2014, yet expects to be treated as an equal to the US and China.
Strange, because the two of them have spent years telling Europe the exact opposite.
🔸️Applebaum on the "weak" Russia:
2014: "War in Europe is not a hysterical idea."
2022: Russia is "a mortal danger to Europe."
2025: Russians are being mentally prepared for war with Europe, and she has "no doubt" Putin wants to rebuild an empire that includes Germany.
🔸️Sikorski can't decide either:
2024: a Russian attack on the EU is "absolutely probable."
Also 2024: Russia will "hit the wall" within 12 to 24 months and run out of money for the war.
Also 2024: Russia's economy will "start to collapse" next year.
2025: Putin is bankrupting Russia, and runs "an economy the size of Texas."
2026: Europe must prepare for a war on the scale "our grandparents" lived through, and Russia could attack NATO "even this year."
❓️So which is it? A broke country that can't win in Donbass, or a military juggernaut about to roll into Berlin?
The answer depends on what they're selling that day. When it's time to justify more weapons and bigger defense budgets, Russia is about to invade Europe. When it's time to keep the war going, Russia is on the verge of collapse.
Two years after Sikorski said Russia would hit the wall, it's apparently strong enough to attack NATO this year.
And remember who's lecturing you about Russian aggression. Applebaum cheered on the 2003 invasion of Iraq, a war built on lies about weapons that never existed. Her husband, a sitting member of the European Parliament at the time, celebrated the sabotage of Nord Stream in 2022 by tweeting "Thank you, USA" under a photo of the gas bubbling up in the Baltic. The same people who applauded an illegal war and an attack on Europe's own energy infrastructure now want you to fear Russia.
This has been Putin's dream for years: That his country, with GDP per capita lower than Poland, unable to conquer Donbas since 2014, will be treated as an equal to the US and China.

For the first time, footage has been published on Iranian channels showing Javad Qarai, a nature documentary maker, with a team, discovering the Iranian Yak-130 pilot whose aircraft was shot down by an Israeli F-35 during the 40-day war.
The pilot was located and found within 2 hours.
The Yak-130 was on patrol over Tehran when it passively detected an aircraft and reported it.
However, because the aircraft was not visible on any radar, it was declared a false identification.
But it was not a false identification. The detected aircraft was an Israeli Air Force F-35I stealth fighter, which Iranian radars were unable to track or identify at that time.
After it was declared a false identification, the pilot chose not to fire.
This gave the Israeli fighter jet the chance to target the Iranian Yak with its 25mm cannon and shot it down.
