Had a lot of fun collaborating on this InSAR project this year. So glad we were able to do a SPIR presentation paper on this! Woop!

Summer hasn't looked prettier 🌞
Just realized they selected my Badwater Basin photo for Vol 60, Is. 8 of Meteoritics & Planetary Science! Thanks for picking this photo. It was hella fun capturing this view. Glad to have a paper in this issue (although would've appreciated a lil name credit 4 the photo lol). 💙
Excited 2 be embarking on another space mission journey this fall. This time we're off to the moon & from Canada!🌕🇨🇦 Its been heartbreaking to witness the state of science in US. I'm sad to have to leave my community. So grateful for another chance at being a part of a mission!

Dr. Catherine Maggiori has written of the proposed budget cuts to NASA and what this might mean for science funding (including astrobiology funding) for the U.S.

Had the opportunity to film for Nat Geo Learning today at the Albuquerque Museum of Natural History & Science. IT WAS A BLAST! I got to feature a galaxy shirt I painted & even got to talk about my art! It's a strange time in the world but science outreach ALWAYS makes me joyful

Well some good news somewhere in the world…
A court in Spain ruled that single parents are now entitled to the same amount of paid parental leave that couples get!
Each parent got 16 wks…so now single parents get 32 wks. A HUGE transformative win!

This is really gross. I'm so sorry to my NASA and NASA contractor friends and colleagues for having to deal with this. That threat at the end is particularly unprofessional and draconian.
Looks like Acting @NASA Administrator Janet Petro has bought into this #Diversity erasure at #NASA.
Her words.

It’s true: My father-in-law is constantly on Teams meetings. He’s a pro: intros, sharing docs, muting people with loud sound in the background, etc
In passing I asked him why he never shuts it down. I will never forget his answer…
“We can’t, we don’t know how to do it.'"
I've been working on my website for a while now & it is finally optimally complete! (still a WIP but a good start!):

Glad to have completed this tool building milestone for my job-seach phase. Lemmi know if someone is looking for a Planetary Geologist! :)
Been AWOL from socials for a bit. Its been a healthy reset! I'm going to be back w/ more science, art, & movement updates! Here's a WIP for a giant painting that I'm working on (for a potential background in a Nat Geo shoot) & my Bluesky:

I know @tanyaofmars will literally never stop inspiring me 🌌🚀💖
Met her after such a long time at #AGU24 and our lives are different now but we still have the joy and the sparkle ✨ for science! Joked about being the recovering/ex Martians 🥲😂
Good morning #AGU24 ! Showing some results from our VISIR mineral characterization test for improving future space mission spectroscopy techniques! 🌌
Come say hi after lunch.
Spotted @startorialist at #AGU24 ! Go say hi at the Exhibit Hall if you haven't already 🌌🚀
Thanks for having me @UNM
It was a BLAST! Had so much fun answering the really interesting question and speaking with the grad students! 🌌
