I think this level of devotion mixed with passion is what makes @keelingcurve an exemplar of a great and truly authentic scientist! 👍🏻 I'm so glad to have the opportunity to work with him and to learn from him! 😊 theguardian.com/environment/…

Stumbled upon the odd church of Notre Dame de Paris just north of Leicester Square. On an ingeniously hidden rotunda plan by Hector Corfiato (1952-5) & full of pungently Gallic kitsch furnishings including Jean Cocteau murals. One of the least English places in central London.

Awesome to visit Charles Jencks’ profoundly groovy Cosmic House last night (1978-85) - it will imminently open as a foundation, & everyone should experience it once.

What was a 2-way bike lane, 2 traffic lanes, and bus lane is now a two-way bike priority street and a shared lane for buses, taxis, and emergency vehicles. It flipped the script of carving out space for cycling in favoring of carving out space for cars. #TacticalUrbanism

Highway removal along the Seine resulted in a 29% traffic reduction in the area, meaning projects like these increasingly feasible. Further vehicle traffic reductions and walking, cycling, and public transport gains are expected as Paris removes 70,000 on-street parking spaces.

This is tremendous
We need to build more like Stig of the Dump, and this is how: CIE have designed a cycle parking building for Eindhoven Station that uses old rails for structure, old train windows for glazing & reused wood for floors. #circulareconomy #spolia #architecture #architectureandenergy
