A better picture of the launch of SpaceX Falcon 9. Great that we had the possibility to witness a launch while on the Space Coast. ๐Ÿš€ โ€“ at Florida, USA

Today I am visiting the annual @esa ESTEC Open Day in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. Always a pleasure to immerse myself in space flight. Lots of highlights to visit. #estec #NLSW26 #esaopenday #spacerocks

๐ŸŒŠ From space, the boundary between land and water can take some pretty incredible shapes. In the Netherlands, water, islands and land intertwine until it becomes difficult to tell where one ends and the other begins. A compilation of my solar eclipse photos that I took in Spain. The timelapse I tried to make with the Seestar S50 was not a succes, so I used some of the individual frames. The two first photos of the totality I took with my Nikon DSLR. The first shows the solar prominence as a red dot, the second shows the corona, the third is the diamond ring.

During yesterday's solar eclipse a bright red dot, a solar prominence, was clearly visible to the naked eye. These are four images I took during the start of the totality with increased exposure.

Did a @Tesla ever record a solar eclips with the dashcam? Yesterday I started a recording as an extra way to capture the eclips.

Now in northern Spain for our holiday and to witness the total solar eclips next Wednesday. It all starts with clear skies and that is exactly what the expectations are! It will be hot but I canโ€™t wait for my second total eclips. My first one was in 1999 in Northern France. Totally different circumstances. Shot this on analogue film...

Netherlands and the ocean, both blooming. Zoom in to see the tulips' colours on the land, and the phytoplankton swirl of blue & green in the sea. The tulips adorn vases around the world, and the phytoplankton (algae & bacteria) convert sunlight and CO2 into organic matter which sustains nearly all marine life. Life is beautiful. esa.int/ESA_Multimedia/Imageโ€ฆ image: @CopernicusEU 21 Apr 26 โ€“ at The Netherlands

I'm thrilled to share this unique collaboration with Artemis Il astronaut @astro_reid. Artemis II was a unique opportunity to get high-quality imagery of the moon, and Reid was gracious enough to capture some special image sets for me during the lunar flyby.

Artemis II was a fantastic mission to follow and I spend many hours watching the livestream. Four astronauts are on the porch waiting to be transported to the ship. It's 3.45 AM here now, so time too sign off. Even my teenage daughter stayed up to watch.
