On Monday, September 21st, members of the Oregon Chapter of the American Communist Party gathered over I-205 in East Portland for a banner drop. Our banner read "We will not die for israel," joined by signs carrying the demands at the heart of our program: "End the Forever Wars," "Bring Back Industry," and "Cancel the Debt."
As patriotic Americans who love this country and the people of it, we refuse to see our compatriots sent to die in foreign imperialist wars fought for the profit of a ruling class that has never once put our communities first.
The response from passing drivers was overwhelming: honks, thumbs up, and shouts of agreement from working people who know exactly who pays the price for empire.

From spring through fall, ACP Illinois has stood with USW Local 7-1 in its fight against an illegal lockout. Day and night, our members have joined the picket line in support of locked-out workers. Yesterday, we also donated hundreds of diapers to help families weather the struggle.

Do not allow yourself to make these difficult moments out to be bigger than they actually are in your head.
Learn from failures and remain laser focused on your long-term goal even when it’s hard.
If you continue working hard one day at a time, in the long-run you will realize that many of those hard times were not as bad as they may have seemed in the moment.

The English translation will be launched and publicly distributed across North America and all global English-speaking regions, achieving a historic milestone as the very first nonfiction book by a Yancheng writer to reach a global audience.
Spring Comes to Xijidang was published by Jiangsu People's Publishing House in December 2025. It is set in Xijidang Village, located at the border of Jiangsu and Shandong provinces. Spring Comes to Xijidang chronicles the vivid journey of Zhong Baijun, the village's Party Secretary and Village Committee Director. It details how he led the villagers from their starting point as a debt-ridden, poverty-stricken village to achieving transformation through the nylon recycling industry, ultimately building Xijidang Village into a national demonstration village for rural revitalization. Using authentic and vivid grassroots stories, Spring Comes to Xijidang presents a multidimensional picture of China's practical efforts toward advancing rural revitalization and achieving prosperity through ecological means. Combining engaging storytelling with the weight of a vital historical record., it has received widespread acclaim from the industry and readers since its publication.
The partner in this collaboration, the American Midwestern Marx Publishing Press, is a long-term strategic partner of the Jiangsu Phoenix Publishing & Media Group that aims to convey a true and multidimensional image of China's development to Western academia and general readers. Following a rigorous editorial review process, Spring Comes to Xijidang was selected as one of the press's key titles for the year due to its solid narrative on rural revitalization and its down-to-earth perspective closely tied to the people's livelihood.
The author Xu Xianglin has long focused on journalistic literature and has published over 30 works.
