I have nothing but respect for a person who can say "thank you."
General Fannie Masemola could have easily returned to work & acted like a big shot.
Although it was not my expectation, still, I was pleasantly surprised to hear him extend a word of gratitude to the multitudes who have openly expressed solidarity with him and supported him during his ordeal (suspension).
Many of these good people who stood with him are unknown to him, they'll probably never meet him. They were doing it for their conscience, for justice, for fairness- some at the expense of sacrificing their own careers.
I'm also very proud of these South Africans. They give me hope.
Today, I'm even more proud and happy that I stood with a humble man like him who recognizes and values the support of strangers.
Big up to all of you my friends who stood up with our General, the one and only SAPS National Commissioner.
