Others that I have encountered: You install a smart hybrid inverter for your client. Since the batteries aren't able to run until morning, you tell them to be switching to the grid manually when batteries run out. You do not even onboard the system online and the inverter has that function. Integrating that system with the grid solves all that. A screenshot from a dashboard of one of our system.
This client's solar PV systems for pumping water was vandalized. DC cables were cut off. All three boreholes were vandalized. He sought a salesperson who told him they can't be repaired. The salesperson had already changed panels for one system. Then the client called me. I told him we just need to use MC4 connectors to fix DC cables. All two systems are working perfectly. To the ones in solar sector, offer your clients solutions and do not rush just to sell.

There's something I have noted on solar industry. Many in this sector including big companies are so focused on sales and forget about the solution. I have encountered two occasions where a client was told that their solar panels were old and could no longer generate power. You call 8 year old solar panels old? The client called me for a second opinion. Yes the solar panels couldn't generate enough power to run borehole motor. Diagnosis? The panels were covered by layers of dirt accumulated over years. We cleaned them and the system was as good as new.

Much about China is unfathomable in terms of scale. It added more solar capacity last year than the rest of the world has ever built.

Electricity consumers could soon pay a new levy for street lighting, adding more costs to monthly bills. This is due to a directive from the National Assembly Committee on Energy for Epra to introduce the Street Lighting Infrastructural Support Levy (SLISL).

The way to go. Let's utilize rooftops or integrate solar with agriculture.
Italy 🇮🇹 Italy bans ground-mounted solar panels on productive agricultural land.

There are several reasons why we need to go solar: 1. It helps reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, which are finite resources and major contributors to climate change. 2. It is a clean and renewable energy source that does not produce greenhouse gas emissions.

Let's go solar to save on electricity bills. Grid-tie solar ensures, while you remain connected to grid power, solar offsets 6 to 8 hours of dependence on Kenya Power. This is ideal for heavy electricity consumers whose most of the power demand is during the day. @SolarEdgeKE
