This is genuinely so fucked up. Ya'll don't even know the can of worms that's been opened recently with decompiling and game crossover. Everything is open sourced. Everything can be stolen in a day. We're absolutely not ready and it's gonna be BAD. I can tell you this will most likely annihilate a large chunk of the indie dev game sphere and people will do it to be malicious. You're going to have farms/companies in China/Russia doing this and flipping games/stealing popular trends on socials just to make money. This is gonna get REALLY REALLY BAD.

Someone recreated my game with AI and is now threatening to publish it on Steam unless I pay him $200. Obviously, I'm not paying. First video: my actual game. Second video: the AI-generated clone. He apparently found my game through Twitter, fed it into an AI tool, and recreated what he saw. Now he's asking for $200 or he'll publish it. I’m sharing this as a heads-up because I assume I’m probably not the only indie dev he's doing this to. I guess we have to be more careful about sharing our projects publicly now. You can spend months making a game, post it online, and someone can apparently try to recreate it with AI almost immediately.
