Binoculars at the ready! @SydneyFC women's opening fixture at Sydney Olympic Park was full of incident as the Riley Cohn show was spoiled by a late Olimpico against @AdelaideUnited. Now where have we seen that before? The @aleaguewomen is back! #football

Oh my, how things change in an instant! The tipping crew is back together again, just in the nick of time for season 2026/27 of the @aleaguemen. Check it out!

One day @TheRoarSports will return, and even if it doesn't, there will always be a place for frustrated @aleaguemen die-hards to share their thoughts on the greatest football league in the history of the world. Come and join us...

Over-policed, under-entertained, the long-awaited opening match of the @aleaguemen 2026/27 season didn't deliver. As stale as a stalemate could be, it wasn't down to the lack of effort. It was the lack of quality. Not the A-League we know and love.

Taking in Haiti v Australia. @TheMatildas final ball is letting them down badly, plenty of unenforced errors, but definitely the better team. Wheeler the saviour but she’s walking a tightrope. And how about those foul throws from Haiti? Lisa and Matty going nuts in the stands!
Yeah, you saw the @AustraliaCup final on the telly and it was good. It was even better being there. Football is certainly alive and well in Australia, and with nights like these, the future is bright! How was it from the stands? Find out right here...

This has been insightful. There are people in Australia who really want football to succeed. Tonight felt like the start of something special and we were in the inner sanctum of something very exciting. Well done @MattyWindley and @FSAAustralia for putting this on. And hey, just quietly, read Jarrod Black Chasing Pack - if you want to find out what a National Second Division looks like, our hero is already plying his trade there!

Football wasn't the only thing on the agenda this weekend in Melbourne. Completed my 14th marathon, my first outside of Sydney. Feeling accomplished and thankful the conditions weren't quite as brutal as today in Sydney! I know @melbmara won't care, but here's some feedback 1/4
What I didn't appreciate :
a. The lack of signage at the start area. I ended up just following the crowd.
b. Missing drinks station(s) in Albert Park just as the sun started beaming and on the 5km approach to the MCG until the final corner. This was horrible! It was hot and the lack of hydration was hurting.
c. Elite half marathon runners having to weave through the marathon tail
d. Herded like sheep through the tunnel after the finish line with no idea what was happening
e. The stairs to get out of the marathon precinct. Have mercy! 3/4
Well, as a neutral last night, I thought the whole event was fantastic. When Bul Juach hit the bar in extra time I thought it was all over. Incredible drama, electric atmosphere, what an advert for football in Australia. @AustraliaCup
Thank heavens for Veo. Rails receiving her framed shirt on Sophomore night along with her 2nd year teammates. What a blast this has been for her. US college football with a team full of international players from all corners of the earth. Friends for life! Wish I could be there.
Hey, I read a book. And now I'm telling you about it. The Coping Stone is a fascinating read; England sent out a squad to tour Australia one hundred years ago. You think your country's fixture list is busy? Not a patch on this! Have a read... #bookreview

Not looking good for NRL fans heading to Accor Stadium. Silverwater Road here at 3:15pm. Traffic chaos!
Oh my, this got me through some long training runs during Covid. Incredibly off-the-wall, definitely not for everyone, but looking at the comments, it touched a lot of people. Classic lines, ridiculous characters and no celebrity spared. I guess you had to be there.
Now I know why @premierleague managers look so confused and uncoordinated when they open a bottle of water these days. The lid and the bottle are connected. When did this happen? Coming to Australia soon? Does it work? Are we recycling more now? I'm intrigued...! #recycling
Pleased to make a debut contribution to Impetus Football with the action from the @NPLNSW women's grand final. A great occasion at Jubilee Stadium that came to the boil in the final moments. Entertainment galore and a Sarah Hunter screamer. @footballnsw
