Today we mark the 32nd anniversary of the Federal $2.13 subminimum wage. Yes, this is no April Fool's joke--it is a national disgrace! Since its inception in 1966 the SMW has increased (nominally) by just $1.50.
While the Tip Credit subsidy has only grown. @ceprdc @EconomicPolicy
Tomorrow is April Fool's Day. But it is no joke that the Federal Subminimum Wage has been policy since 1991--frozen and losing any meaningful purchasing power for the last 32 to years!
