KP Ramaswamy, owner of KPR Mills in Coimbatore, runs a textile empire. But he measures success not in profits — but in graduation certificates.
It began with one request from a young mill worker:
"Appa, I want to study."
That one sentence changed everything.
So he built classrooms inside his mill.

👩🏫 Full-time teachers, yoga, even a principal
🎓 All fully funded. No conditions.
Today:
✅ 24,500+ women are graduates.
✅ Some are now police officers, teachers, nurses.
✅ 20 gold medals from Tamil Nadu Open University this year alone.
You’d think he’d worry about them leaving.
But Appa says: "They are here because of poverty, not by choice. My job is to give them a future, not a cage."
They leave. They grow. And send more girls to the mill.
This isn’t CSR. This is real nation-building.
And maybe... the most beautiful HR policy ever written.

Mumbai's biggest Metro rail carshed with 72 stabling lines & a double deck structure is more than 50pc ready. The carshed will serve Yellow Line 2B which is 23.64-km-long elevated corridor with 20 stations between DN Nagar (Andheri) & Mandale (Mankhurd).

For 22 working days in month, the travel is 2332 km. AC monthly pass costs Rs 2135. That is only 91 paise per kilometer. (1/3)
