Like with adashima, I've been holding readings of shuukura's 1st vol, and the soundtrack I built for it includes a lot of monogatari and shiboyugi. And after voicing these girls' thoughts for 5 hours, my takeaway is that Miyagi's narration is paced like a shiboyugi monologue

Life update: I started giving private live readings of adashima to a handful of friends. I have an insane setup. hand-picked music cues using the anime soundtrack, sorted by mood, with automated fades. an effects hotkey for internal dialogue. we're knocking out a vol per 2 weeks

most of the yashiro's lore was back in vol 11. I haven't read Nijiiro Alien yet since I can't split my time well between writing and reading slowly in jp haha. maybe Yobitsugi was the original? she certainly seems way older than Hoshimiya (denpa onna) and Chikama
