Like with adashima, I've been holding readings of shuukura's 1st vol, and the soundtrack I built for it includes a lot of monogatari and shiboyugi. And after voicing these girls' thoughts for 5 hours, my takeaway is that Miyagi's narration is paced like a shiboyugi monologue

which is to say, there's nothing I wouldnt do for an Ueno Souta shuukura anime

Update on this: Not only was it more vague than I thought, the line was changed in the LN version. Now, Shiho moved out long before Kai graduated elementary, soooo we have no idea where the series sits in the timeline yet haha
SKAttack@SkattackSep 4
Accidentally did a Daughter's Friend misinformation! Kai's elementary graduation was 1 year and 1/2ish from the present time, so Hatsukiss was just 1 year ago. and the end of this vol lines up with adashima's vol 9 christmas. Umi is ALIVE

Hi everyone, Unfortunately, it seems that Dear Flowers that Bloom in Days of Yore, one of the best ongoing yuri manga, is not selling well. Please consider buying the digital volumes if you have the means to support the series. Here's a Kobo link: kobo.com/jp/en/series/Yq6ztU…

20% though vol1 of Iruma's MiiMaa, and it's already facinating. It feels like an affirmation of codependency to the extreme, in line with the adashima dynamic. The titular characters were kidnapped when they were kids, and now one feels obliged to keep the other safe and in check

Their framework of morality was broken from the ordeal. Maa-chan has kidnapped 2 kids, but Mii-kun's priority is her innocence, even at his own, and others', expense. It's totally inane, but there's something precious about their struggle to live amongst "normal" people

Maa-chan had it worse, so Mii-kun takes on the responsibility of upholding their right to live, despite how broken they are. After all, who else would? This is all my impression of just 1/5th of the book haha. Iruma had the sauce from the very beginning...

Why Watanare? It was the spark that got me to read 40 yuri LN vols in less than 2 months

Vol 13 is Adachi in max creature mode from a fresh perspective where we never get in her head. Late adashima leave you wanting more mainline? It's all mainline. I personally rank it in my top 5!
