I could swear Outdoor Boys talked about why this is actually a really bad idea for a variety of reasons.
everytime i watch one of these videos i think that its very important that we learn at least how to do the first step, never know when we actually need it

in the wake of this pepe rug it would be funny if we got a positive Grayscale ruling tomorrow and BTC pumps leaving on chain memooors sidelined not sure it would last long but does seem like something the market would do

this tweet is both not a joke and not a drill, you can screencap it if it helps bought the picotop and got liquidated at the picobottom in realtime. where am i? That's what my creditors are asking

This would be crazy to see and a bad precedent for DeFi Also I'm not exactly sure why it's needed. If they could find OTC buyers then the same buyers could move assets on chain to bid the liquidations and then move their discounted SOL to exchanges to sell
This is pretty wild. The Solend team wants to take over the whale's account and execute the liquidation themselves. The whale's position is so degenerate that if SOL drops too low it will create cascading liquidations across the DEX books (and potentially bad debt). "DeFi"

The only difference I can see is maybe the liquidation penalty wouldn't be as big as someone would want the OTC discount. One idea moving forward would be to make liquidation penalties scale with % of lending market (moving forward, not retroactively)

not trying to make light of anyone's misfortune, but I think it's worth pointing out that we've seen the problems with chasing linear wealth Many on CT would do well to realize that even Pro's can get wiped out due to lax risk management and excess leverage.

And I do agree that many diminish their returns by overtrading/overmanaging their convicted long term crypto bets. However the root cause of that is not a preference for log(wealth), actually probably the opposite in many cases
Maybe this is cope in terms of looking for a bottom but: USD Down, Ten Year Up on the day while stocks are making new lows for the move, with SPY breaking to new lows before QQQ this hasn't been the recent pattern
SP making new lows for the move, QQQ not (yet)... this is different

Overall sentiment is far more pessimistic/bearish on macro at this point from the equities top than they were in Jan 2008 from Summer 07 top There was talk of problems in housing and high gas prices then, but few anticipated total financial collapse/Great Recession

Obviously there is plenty of reason for concern right now, inflation, credit tightening etc But everyone is hyper focused on all that now, whereas the near collapse of the financial system later in 2008 caught most by surprise It'll be interesting to see how it plays out

Maybe a good equities nuke on turn-around tuesday can give a solid local bottom

"ETH will dump hard when >12M staked ETH get unlocked after the Merge." I've noticed some people consider the Merge as a negative price catalyst due to a supposed huge ETH unlock. This is wrong. Here is what they miss about the $ETH unlock. 🧵👇

@VestaFinance $VSTA launches today. It's a lending protocol on Arbitrum, inspired by @LiquityProtocol $LQTY but with more collateral options and governable parameters. A short thread how Vesta works and why its stablecoin may get heavily adopted. 🧵👇
