FAQ says one win PER SHOW, but ranking is PER DAY. 3 selections on 3 different days, how do you know global priority? They all appear to be priority #1.

Director-writer David Lynch, who radicalized American film with with a dark, surrealistic artistic vision in films like “Blue Velvet” and “Mulholland Drive” and network television with “Twin Peaks,” has died. He was 78. bit.ly/40is3yQ
Or as @FranklinFoer put it:
“the story of an overextended superpower and its aging president, unable to exert themselves decisively in a moment of crisis.”
Oof.
The administration seemed to be almost completely reactive to unfolding events and then upset when they didn’t unfold to its liking — instead of proactively shaping them.
Were these not the objectives? Destroy Hamas, release the hostages, deter Iran and its proxies, secure US assets in the region, avoid unnecessary bloodshed? What were the US objectives if not these? and how did they hope to achieve them with only using soft power?
We’d have a decisive victory over Hamas in the form of a replacement PA taking over Gaza from coalition forces custodianship. The Saudi option would have remained on the table. Hezbollah deterred, and Iran contained, right in time for nuclear discussions to renew.
Similarly, charging Netanyahu with brinksmanship is probably true, but the US is doing the same thing inadvertently by waffling with its support for its ally. This confusion reads as weakness. To avoid total war, say loud and clear that the US will destroy anyone who interferes.

Fantastic read, though what a terrible indictment of the Biden administration’s foreign policy failure this is. It’s easy (& fun) to charge Israel with a lack of strategic foresight, but where the hell is the American strategy?
I just wrote a @theactionnet letter: Stop The Eviction & Save ESG. Write one here: actionnetwork.org/letters/st…
Just listen to him, I think he’s very clear about what his positions are (which he claims represent a near-consensus among Palestinians) and they do not include a resolution of the conflict and all mutual claims, in which two states live peacefully side by side.
