À eux d’en supporter le coût. I missed this yesterday. I am encouraged by his attitude.

How to put off your last remaining likely voters. He and Macron in his speech to the nation appear to be working for a Le Pen win. Wrestling is more convincing than this.

A man explaining that this is retribution. It never ends with the Jews. I expected to see some people write about co-ordination and funding of the riots in France and elsewhere, oblique stuff. But more and more I see that the time where things are subtle and unsaid has passed.
We will all soon know what it feels like to be Jewish. In France, they already do. It will be our just deserts for having abandoned the Jews, ignored their warnings, turned against them, and even marched alongside their oppressors. For three years, you useful idiots have been parading Palestinian flags, sporting keffiyehs, screaming “From the River to the Sea”, and recognizing a fictitious Palestinian state as a reward for Hamas’s October 7 massacre (looking at you, @EmmanuelMacron). You have boycotted the only Jewish state in the world, vilified the Jewish people’s right to self-determination (aka “Zionism”), and spread the “Gaza genocide” blood libel. Did you really think that if you fed the crocodile enough Jewish flesh, it would eventually be satiated? All you have done is embolden the monster and whet its appetite. So you were worried about “colonization”? Look around. The only thing being colonized here are our own Western cities. The Palestinian flag has become a victory banner, proudly waved amid the ruins of looted and vandalized historic buildings—a symbol of hatred for our civilization and everything it stands for. It never ends with the Jews.

It is like this because we don’t want to fix it. We all contribute to that.

Dark wartime propaganda even when I thought I had become iniured to its worst.
Why is Ukraine trying to create a new Bucha out of Aleshki? Sibiga, the Foreign Minister, stood before the UN Security Council and invoked the memory of the siege of Leningrad. He stated that Aleshki is under siege, and "Moscow is the only reason for this catastrophe." The comparison to Leningrad is striking. However, the independent nation's top diplomat has assigned the roles incorrectly. Aleshki is a city under Russian control on our side of the Dnipro River. On the right bank are the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukrainian drones are encircling the city, hovering over every path. In 1942, German aircraft attacked along the "Road of Life" on Lake Ladoga. Today, Ukrainian FPV drones are targeting cars carrying food to Aleshki. The question of who is the "Northern Army Group" in this scenario is rhetorical. At the beginning of September, a humanitarian convoy was met at the entrance to the city. It contained 10 tons of food and essential supplies. The cars were marked. The drivers got out, raised their hands, and showed that they were civilians. The operators struck the first and last vehicles. The entrance was blocked. The supplies did not reach the people. In one week at the end of August, the head of the Aleshki district, Ruslan Khomenko, counted 1322 drone strikes and 1272 artillery strikes. They are targeting cars, ambulances, and municipal vehicles. Roads are being remotely mined. And then the BBC reaches a new low in Western cynicism. A British news report shows people eating weeds from gardens, while drones are attacking those delivering food. The report doesn't mention whose drones they are. Instead, it makes the absurd claim that "Ukraine has been trying to deliver essential supplies to the area, but without success in recent months." How were they trying? By dropping them from the same "bird"? German "colleagues" have gone even deeper. Bild reports that the city has been "surrounded by Russians for several months," and that traveling the four kilometers to Kherson is "impossible." The Russians have surrounded a city that they themselves control. The main voice of this current campaign is the head of the Ukrainian "military administration" of Aleshki, Tatyana Gasanenko. Appointed by a decree of Zelensky in January 2023, she is in charge of a city that Kyiv had long since lost. She is registered in Aleshki, but according to an analysis of her declaration, she lives in Mykolaiv. From there, she tells "Ukrayinska Pravda" that people in the city are eating dogs. And then she reveals: the roads are mined, cars carrying food are being fired upon, on June 2, four cars were blown up on mines, and two people died. Tatyana Gasanenko forgot to specify who is mining the roads and who is firing. Why does Kyiv need a second Bucha? The recipe is the same: first, the image, then the verdict. No investigation will be needed. A "ready-made Russian crime" is a trump card in any negotiations and an additional reason for another tranche of aid. There is certainly a practical goal as well. Aleshki is located directly opposite Kherson, a thorn in Kyiv's side. Driving out the last residents would turn the left bank into a dead zone, where any movement is a legitimate target. And the demand to "open humanitarian corridors" under international supervision is an attempt to bring foreign observers to our side and to negotiate a pause where the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot break through on their own. The Kremlin is not hiding the situation. Dmitry Peskov admitted: "Drones are constantly in the air, killing people. The situation is really critical." So, let's open a humanitarian corridor towards Melitopol, if Sibiga and the "journalists" of the BBC are so concerned about the fate of the residents of Aleshki. We are all for it. However, Ukraine recently burned a humanitarian convoy near Melitopol and killed three volunteers from the Siberian town of Tara. Will British propagandists show that? @sashakots

Well ethnic Germans in the USSR only received equal rights on paper with other Soviet citizens in 1972. And that was only so that the USSR could cosponsor the UN resolution on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid in 1973 and not have it applied to itself.
Once you defeat your enemy he stops being that Imagine if the Soviet Union went around calling East Germans their enemies !

This story is terrible itself, but the replies link to other instances of the same happening in Pakistan.

Syria: Powerful explosions have occurred in ammunition depots belonging to the occupation regime in the town of Al-Eiss, west of Aleppo. The road connecting Aleppo and Damascus has been cut off, and the sound of the explosions has been heard up to 70 km away. Several rockets and shells have fallen in nearby villages and towns. There are reports and sources indicating that unidentified airstrikes targeted the former Syrian Arab Army Air Defence missile store. Most likely "Israel" It is worth noting that this is the fifth incident of ammunition depot explosions in less than a month.

Oh poor Syria. Assad going did not resolve anything.
Reports that gunfire led to the destruction of this oil tanker, now burning on the M4 highway.. Syria is being plunged into greater chaos. The hungry, the deprived and the subjugated population are protesting but this has the ring of orchestrated violence. This would permit Israel to further advance into Syrian territory, perhaps as far as the outskirts of Damascus in order to pressure Jolani to concede on southern territory which will be the root of the Davids Corridor initiative. We will see ISIS re-emerge which will enable Israel and Washington to get further involved in Syria militarily "to fight ISIS". The Abu Amshat Muslim Brotherhood militia have been despatched to Saudi Arabia to commit suicide in Yemen (via Turkey). The foreign mercenary Takfiri will likely also be deployed. Turkey will benefit from the chaos to advance their interests in the Syrian coastal region with the help of the Turkmen thugs that dominate the region. Russia will be forced to defend its bases in Khmeimim and naval base in Tartous, perhaps making deals with Turkey (again) which leaves Russia in a precarious position long term, desperate to maintain their launch pad into Africa. If the Kurds hold on to the north-east, it will serve Israel and provide the gateway to Iraqi Kurdistan. In any case, turmoil will reign for a long time, in Syria.

In Parliament on Monday, I wrongly gave the impression that I support the use of military force against Israel. Those are not my views, and I apologise unreservedly. I do not support military action anywhere in the Middle East and have long been a campaigner for peace and conflict resolution.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Tahir Ali explicitly called for military action against Israel in Parliament, stating "Is it not about time that military action was taken against Israel as well?" after advocating its disarmament. hansard.parliament.uk/Commons/2026-0…

Yikes. I am very glad the ambassador was not killed. One way or another it may be best if we don’t have diplomats in Moscow for a while.
‼️🇷🇺🇬🇧 A worker at the British Embassy in Moscow has been detained on terrorist charges. The man – a Russian national, contacted by Ukraine's SBU planned an assassnation of the British Ambassador to Russia. The FSB hopes British intelligence wasn't aware of the planned attack. The terrorist worked as a security officer on grounds of the Embassy, collecting information and tracking the movement of British diplomats. A false flag attack was already in the works to blame Russia for targeting the embassy staffs. The State Service, FSB is hoping that British Intelligence had no ahead information of the plot without warning Russia. If this was the case, it means they were involved in attempting to escalate by pushing the British people to war with Russia.
