🇬🇧 UCI World Cup Milton Keynes - 29 November 2014 10 years ago already that the World Cup cyclocross took place in Milton Keynes. Such a missed opportunity that the World Cup still hasn't returned to the 🇬🇧 UK since. So much potential. It's just sad. @UCI_CX 😴

🧵 A thread about the World Cup cyclocross for 2024-2025. There has been some news in the Belgian media this weekend about the future of the World Cup that's worth to be shared. Prepare for a December/January World Cup. 👈 (1/16) / (Paywall article) hln.be/veldrijden/van-veerti…

When did 4 lap Elite races become a thing?

I agree, fewer 180deg turns (with riders swinging round on the fence posts) doesn’t just make it a Crit. Width (especially) & flow is important, Namur has both but you’d never call it a Crit.
Friendly reminder to all race organizers that cyclocross courses with fewer slow turns and fewer speed changes and generally more width make for more exciting races for viewers. If you want to sell the sport this is the way to go. #CXWorldCup

I always thought at the time if a few kids get inspired by watching a WC in their home country & decide that’s for them, it’d be worth it (not that it was a chore!) That 9yrs later Cam posts this is cool AF.

14 year old me riding the WC off camber ready for the National Trophy they held the day after. Can’t understate the importance of that weekend for UK cx 🙏

There isn't one quote we could pick out of this interview to do it justice. If there is one interview you watch today, make it this one with @matmohoric. On n'a pas su choisir une seule citation qui rendrait hommage à l'interview. Du coup si vous devez écoutez un seul interview en entier aujourd'hui, faites en sorte que ce soit celui de @matmohoric. #TDF2023

Bahrain: a solid 8/10, mech with back brace to aid big shove. Movistar: 6/10 scrappy. Ineos: 7/10 needed valuable input from @simonwattsy

Jayco 3/10 first mech on wrong side. Arkea 7/10 good to see gender split on mechanics, & she swapped his Garmin.

Current scores in the mechanic change over zone: Astana 2/10, rubbish. Zero prep. Jumbo Visma 7/10, needed more tips from Wout. AG2R 9/10 prepared for a left hooker 👌
