The slowest version of the new @Tesla Roadster (<1.6s to 0-60 mph) will be quicker than the current quickest version of the all-electric $2.5 million Rimac Nevera R (1.66s).
The fastest trim of the Tesla Roadster (rocket trim) will be capable of 0-60 mph in ~0.59 seconds.

Carney promised cheap EVs. He just forgot to mention they had to be Chinese-owned and Chinese-made
Tesla’s Canada policy lead confirmed the quiet part out loud: “Global Affairs Canada is providing in advance the maximum number of cars OEMs can expect to bring in for a period. So, while the program outwardly looks like it is a first-come-first-served model, there is a lot more behind it.”
Result? Tesla hits GAC's secret ceiling and has to pause the $39,490 Shanghai-built Model 3 while ~33,000 national quota spots sit unused. The Carney government is actively rationing the one brand Canadians are actually buying so room is left for Chinese automakers that haven’t even set up proper Canadian sales and service networks yet
Cheap EVs, yes — just not the ones most people want, and not on market terms. Carney industrial policy dressed up as affordability. Always be central planning @MarkJCarney @elonmusk

"Why did they waste so much time making a flying car no one can use in the real world?"
Because not everything is about whether you can imagine it being useful to you. Because like art, sometimes we make things for the glory and challenge of making them. Because we don't know if what we'll learn will make your toaster work better and you'll never realize it because you take for granted that things get better without thinking through how that happens. Because you can't inspire people with toasters, but a barrel-rolling car that can drive upside down is absolutely setting someone on fire right now.
I'm not a car person and you shouldn't trust me with a rocket, but I want a roadster because I make art and that thing is absolutely a thing made for love and passion and I get that in my heart.
(Also because I'd look really cool in one.)🤣

This is the most exciting time at NASA since the Kennedy era.
@POTUS has given us the mission: return to the Moon, build the Moon Base, pioneer nuclear spaceflight, advance extraordinary science, and win the new space race.
It was great to see so many of those builders, scientists, and technologists recognized at the Golden Age of Science summit this week.

For decades, Canada has been seen as a 'model nation', internationally renowned for its high standard of living, safety & friendliness. 🇨🇦
Recently, it's been making headlines for the wrong reasons. Unaffordability, homelessness & addiction, rising crime, and a healthcare system so stretched that thousands are dying as they await treatment.
'Broken Country' is a new documentary that explores what went wrong in Canada, and what can be done.

Neo-Classical futurism is coming/almost here.
Imagine how much human freedom could beautify our cities, improve art and sciences.
There are risk and reward to everything.
Can you honestly say that the risk/reward balance with AI is worst than what humans have and are still doing?
