The British policy of starvation that murdered overall a million Irish people, or the savage repression of our language, culture and religion is NOT part of education 🙃 But for the 0.5% Jewish population, total coverage of German crimes.

Severe shortages grip Gaza’s markets as the spectre of famine looms once again over the besieged Strip, with border crossings closed to essential goods and fresh produce.

The DUP can shout and make lots of noise today but it’s still out there that their ex leader (great friend to most of them) is a sexual deviant, rapist, paedophile. No amount of deflection is going to cover up that festering mess of a human and his political party.

No. 10 knowing back in 1973 that the UDR was hopelessly infiltrated by the UVF and UDA, and actively engaged in murder, remains one of the most existentially shocking facts to emerge from the conflict. IMHO.

Saudi Arabia has executed, by beheading, a young couple who kissed at a mosque. Saudi Arabia has the full military support of the EU, US and UK. They don't care about human rights, they simply represent the wishes of corporations for profit. Guess why Iran is their enemy?

I know everyone on here will join me in expressing gratitude to the people of Garvaghy for remaining peaceful in the face of this terrifying UVF/UDA threat. Portadown District and Eddie the Legal are to be congratulated for bringing the PSNI security assessment to light.

Police also said it was possible that loyalist paramilitaries who supported the parade would go to Portadown and that public disorder at Drumcree Church was possible @rtenews

Unionism is in an absolute mess at the moment. The UVF & UDA have remained active for the past 28 years and they've said and done nothing, other than giving them briefings via the LCC. Now they call for an IRA assessment to try and escape their mess. It all stinks.

Nothing to see here just the executive editor of the Washington Post pointing out that Netanyahu is lying. They lie about everything. No media outlet should ever print their words - it's akin to Nazi propaganda.
To be clear: Some facts are neither in dispute nor unclear. Our photographer was clearly marked as Press. She was clearly beaten. These are not partisan or risible statements, but indisputable. We urge a thorough investigation and accountability.

The Parades Commission met the UVF/UDA to discuss the Garvaghy parade. Both organisations are active, armed and engaged in a wide range of criminality, from murder to trafficking; from extortion to ethnic cleansing. The DUP has asked the Chief Constable for a report on the IRA.

Political unionism talking of violence, the only violence I see is that perpetrated on Nationalist community here on the Lower Ormeau Road where a memorial showing the faces of the five members of the community who were murdered here has been defaced, traumatising their families

Utterly despicable desecration of the Ormeau Rd Bookmakers Memorial. This comes five weeks after the last attack, which was in the context of the Orange Order seeking to march along the Garvaghy Rd. (The families have yet to hear from the PSNI regarding that last attack.) This latest attack comes as the Apprentice Boys now seek to walk the Ormeau Rd. Our thoughts are with the distraught families and injured who are left to pick up the pieces of this trauma. In this small beleaguered community of a handful of streets over 73 people have lost their lives to the conflict, the overwhelming majority in sectarian attacks involving state agents and collusion.

Replying to @arleneseesit
Arlene, are you absolutely sure you want to start listing terrorists and their associations? Because there’s an awful lot of history you seem to be a little forgetful, especially as it comes to orange order Let’s start with Harold Gracey, he was a senior Portadown Orangeman who wrote to the UVF leader Billy Wright thanking him for his support during Drumcree. Gracey also spotted at a rally supporting Wright. The same Billy Wright whose UVF unit was responsible for the sectarian murder of Michael McGoldrick, remember? Then there’s Roy Barwise, John Irwin and Alan Clair, Liverpool Orangemen convicted of UVF membership and terrorist-related weapons offences. The courts heard how Orange lodges were used as cover for UVF activities, remember? Or Mervyn and Paul Armstrong, members of an Antrim Orange lodge, convicted of offences connected to the loyalist Orange Volunteers. Their continued membership became a public controversy, remember? And while we’re discussing terrorism, perhaps you’d like to address the decades of UVF and UDA flags flying across loyalist communities? The paramilitary murals, commemorations, memorials and annual displays honouring men responsible for murdering innocent Catholics and Protestants? Remember Joe Bratty and Raymond Elder? UDA members commemorated in loyalist parades, despite their links to some of the most appalling sectarian violence of the Troubles, including the Sean Graham bookmakers massacre. I stopped at the above names, but there are hundreds, so spare is the cleansing of the sectarian orange order Every year, communities across the North have had to witness displays celebrating or glorifying loyalist paramilitary organisations. Yet apparently we’re supposed to believe that historical associations with terrorism are a uniquely nationalist problem, well according to you anyways Now, does any of that make every Orangeman a terrorist? Absolutely not. Nor does every loyalist paramilitary flag represent the Orange Order. But the same basic fairness must apply to the Garvaghy Road residents. Their rights and legitimate concerns don’t disappear because you can identify convicted republicans associated with their protest. Surely tou can’t condemn an entire nationalist community by association while conveniently overlooking the documented involvement of individual Orangemen in loyalist terrorism and the decades of public paramilitary glorification within loyalist communities and more importantly, the orange order If we’re going to have a serious conversation about terrorism, Arlene, then let’s have one that includes the UVF, UDA, LVF and their victims You don’t get to use the victims of republican violence as a political weapon while treating the victims of loyalist violence as an inconvenient footnote. Do better
