⚪️💙Mashonaland Gender Summit | Breakaway Sessions
Led by the VP and Gender Secretary @Charlyne060 @SheCommander1 students are now in groups conversing, sharing experiences and co-creating solutions. The Gender Summits are a platform for grounded political education, honest dialogue and collective organizing. From the ongoing conversations we will commit to developing practical recommendations and action plans to fight for student dignity and push for safer learning environments.

The Gender Summit is currently underway with students from Mashonaland Province. This year's Gender Summit is running under the theme: Student Dignity & the Struggle Against Gender Exploitation on Campus. This is meant to advance a clear argument that meaningful education requires more than access to lecture rooms. Students must be able to learn in conditions that protect their dignity, safety, equality and basic needs including food, accommodation and healthcare.
Education cannot therefore be genuinely emancipatory where students are humiliated, exploited or denied the conditions needed to learn and participate with dignity.

This Pinktober, we join the world in raising awareness, showing solidarity with fighters and survivors and reminding students that early detection saves lives.

Whatever the story may be, it's high time GBV is met with a harsh response.
The alleged killer, if caught, must apologize publicly to the whole student community before facing the full wrath of the law. In a case like this, he must NOT be given bail.
Imagine 4 years. Nobody knows how far she had come. Maybe she was the one to break the generational curse. Maybe she carried the hopes of a whole family who saw her as an investment.
Life as a student in Zim is already hard, especially from a financially strained background. It's high time the Government of Zimbabwe prioritized education and funded our education. This is the root cause of everything - some students end up with dangerous people just to cover school needs.
